Dear Dina,
Thanks a lot for reviewing my webshot homepage. I am not a historian and don't have deep knowledge on details and dates of our history. I just used website information of one tour agency where is written:
TATEV
“Monastery of Tatev was founded in the 4th century. During 5-8th centuries it was one of the most famous centers of learning in medieval Armenia. From late 8th century it was the seat of the Bishops of Sunik. The monastery was built gradually, mainly during 9-10th and 17-18th centuries.”
AMBERD
“The fortress and church of Amberd occupy a rugged promontory between the Amberd River and its main tributary. Built in the VII -XIII centuries, the fortress became home to many noble families. Conquered by the Turks, Mongols, reacquired by the Byzantines, lost again to the Seljuks, reconquered in the XII century; it was a key defensive site for centuries.”
Anyway, I really appreciate your remarks and will amend info on my photos accordingly. Maybe that could be a good occasion to update my albums at last.
Thanks again and keep in touch. I see we have common hobby.
Regards,
David.
