  • Dear Dave! Thanks for taking the time and for the attention. Well, it looks like WS is having some strange technical problems again. I do not exactly understand what happened to you when writing comments - but guess what happened to me: It took my about the whole afternoon, yesterday, to upload my new album. I had to upload the pics one by one - sometimes 2 by 2 - and again and again the upload would interrupt. Is it because of my old and weary PC or is it because there are too many pictures on WS, or is the WS server ready for a new fitness programme? No idea... But of course something is not working the way it should. Anyway, it's not the first time and it won't be the last time for this to happen. Still I'm confident that sooner or later whatever it is will be fixed. As far as I'm concerned, I won't move away from here. Not yet... Thanks again and very best regards from Zurich. Mike

I'm sorry I've been such a stranger, but Joke from Holland is comming to visit me next month, so I've been doing some home renovations and haven't had any time or energy for the computer! I will be visiting more frequently come summer! I just wanted to come by and wish you and yours a Happy Easter! Hamba gahle, Johnny:)

  • Dave, you are a good man and a good friend. You should know that I will always enjoy and immerse myself in the palette of light that God provides, before anything that is created with a switch. Besides being lovely or threatening and uncontrolled, natural light doesn't require setup or breakdown. Best of all, it doesn't cost a thing. Reproduction doesn't have to be put into the arena of debate that suggests something is either greater or lesser than; but certainly in this case, a mode of -- different than. To study natural light and then to attempt to produce its form by way of that study will hopefully sharpen anyone's skills. That knowledge serves as an aid to those who are painting or are photographing something caught in it's plane. Interesting artists that you pointed to, all were extremely skilled and have made our existence better due to their talents. And yet all studied light in an attempt to reproduce or modify the presentation they sought to demonstrate on canvas. Don't worry, I will always look for a special sunrise or to find the fall of late light on a something old, something abandoned. And with my camera I will hope to poorly preserve that moment. For me, life is setting out to collect moments in time, relationships, pain, joy, truth and in light.

  • Zingers from my Zig Ziglar newsletter. Quotes By Croft M. Pentz. (1) We didn't all come over in the same ship, but we're all in the same boat. (2) If you don't believe in cooperation, look what happens when a car loses one of its wheels. (3) A river is powerful because many drops of water have learned the secret of cooperation.

I could not remember where I first saw the Mark Twain quote I liked so much - had it stuck in my head every since obviously! Happily found it again when reviewing quote sites for my page and grabbed onto it. Love it!

  • okay Dave...I paid my dues...dreamt I was in some sort of wildish country last night...Me thinks across between Africa and Outback of Australia...lots of critters...scarey stuff after me...I finally crashed thru a fence where there was large body of water and a HUGE cat of some type got me! Last thing I remember was its jaws of death and being pulled under by this prehistoric Feline... which was apparently unafraid of water...my imagination is much too vivid...teasing Silas and Leo about us kittens...metamorphised into me being a midnight snack .....lol!!!
