Hi Dave,
RE: "Howdy. That village in my St Tropez cruise picture is somewhere between Cannes & Antibes - but I suspect it's more a collection of holiday homes than a village. I'll check it out for you. I'm also putting together a brief reading list for you. When do you leave? Cheers - Dave"
We'll be in St Tropez from May 20-22. Then we head to Antibes. I'd like to take the boat from St. T to St. Raphael so I can avoid the Grand Prix traffic up the coast.
Jim
Hi Dave, you have lovely albums....Poetic. Also I enjoyed your message to Quirky this morning. I'd like to add you to my friends list. I'll send you an invitation. Have a good day... Carol Jean
The photos you have taken of Champagne Sports Resort (South Africa) are quite impressive. Would it be possible to use these photos within my Website (www.golflinx.co.za), which is a golf course directory/guide for South African golf courses? I can display a copyright with your name as a watermark on the photos if required.
Hi Dave, thank you for the very nice comment on my Autumn Train shot, I truly appreciate it, and invite you to visit anytime! Happy New Year kisses to you, Rhonda
Hi Dave, It`s been awhile...I want to say welcome back and even though I did not comment on your multitude of new albums, I did check many photos ..what can I say?...so enjoyable from scenic exotic views, human nature and you always do throw in the cuisine. I`ll take some of the seafood. What an envious vaca...you have been on, me thinks. Most importantly, I`m glad that your dear daughter is going to be okay. It must have been so hard for you and your wife..damn..life throws us those curves. I`ll be praying for a full recovery too, like my good friend Mimi, below. Joanie
Dave, my Friend! Thanks for your concern - but don't worry. Yes, I'm still in hospital, after a lousy & useless infection. But the doctors killed it before it would kill me... so everything will be back to normal and I'll be back home in a few days. There I'm better equipped to look at your new pictures. And I'm looking forward to see them! Mike (Zurich)
Dave...so very glad your daughter is doing so well...wish I would have known about the surgery before hand...would have made sure to get in touch with some huge Powers that Be to ensure certain success but it seems you must have your own connections and I am grateful and will now add your angel onto my prayer wings to speed the request faster for continued recovery and health restored...Don't worry...I got the private hotline number and can get through to the Big Guy immediately...please update me with progress reports that exceed all expectation...will respond accordingly...you are all in my heart and prayers...GodSpeed.
Hi!Dave...yer L'amour quote....coolness..made me think this......God created Adam out of dust....so, It made me go "hmmmmmmmmmmmmmm" ......interesting thought...also...when Cain murdered Able...God said, 'Your brothers blood cries out to me from the ground...' (well...our contemp. paraphrasing) more hmmmm's....I was interested in forensic blood work when C.S.I. was only a little a.b.c....lol!~~ But, seriously....I DO think of the blood and the D.N.A. which tells every single minutia of our being..and, how, ultimately we are but dust and return to dust....therefore, dust is blood and blood is dust....my hypothisis.
It is SO good to hear from you Mr. Globetreker...you DO still think of us all!? and we miss your grand personality....and poor Leon..is bein eatin alive by us Sheilas ....needs backup...he doesn't seem to be complainin much though. :) Hugs from Me...A. Quirk
Dave before Golf Balls...there were only Balls to measure hail with..but whose knackers were used is only known to a few..not me.As for Climate change and AfterLife..both are inevitable as the electricity Bill..apart from Mans inability to solve Sierra we may as well stick to Liquid fuel for relaxation..as they say, we have free Will and use it we sure do...its odd all lifestyles end in the same dimension and thats the irony..no one has returned to say they lived longer. As for Nam and rice paddies and Bunkers in hell...I figure it was punishment for somefinnn..I think its called "Volunteerin for DaArmy"..at 17...therfore I dont pass that buck..anyway its as you say..A passin Parade...you definetely aint lost any of that writing Passion...we may get that drink in Together..one never knows...AuLater me...to You
So it goes Saigon..its gets into your veins..like the whole experience..that perfume has a sting of a wasp..yet we return to it...Dave nice to be back in touch..enjoyin an African Xmas no doubt..its warmer even I who longs for illusive memories know full well its better in the warmth...My Best to Ya'Mate....Leo
And I'm an Aquarian Irish/Scot lassie...do you think I don't get IT? I do...it's a blessing and a curse as I am sure you must realize...to live in the world and be not of it and be immersed in it...a conundrum is an example that doesn't come close to the real definition...somehow, I think you KNOW
It's not right to know me so well Mon Ami...how is it so? Is it just? SO? How do you Know? Call me Marie Clair..none know so well as mon frair...I would elaborate...but refuse to diffuse what one has spun so clear...how do you?
Dear Dave it has now been a while that I have felt very frustrated and unhappy with Webshots it is clear to me that they can not handle such a big site. There is wonderful talented people on this site that never gets a feature and their photographic art is never recognized.I was invited to join a site called Redbubble by one of my very good Webshot friends an this stage there is 35 of us that has made this leap in the last month. I would like to quote you a few words that one of our x-webshot friends wrote that should explain to you why the Bubble is a much better site for people that is serious about their photography:
““Phewwww a weeks a long time in the bubble eh ? ... new friends .. old friends several features (7 for the feature counters) and even el presidente favored me ..(tell me another site where that happens !) I dont say that based on any delusions of grandeur…I say it because in that lays the essence of this site ..even the co-owners are actively hands on… ...but what I have learnt (refreshingly) most in this past week..is that its not about stats and views..(they are no where to be seen !).. no corporate judgments made on how good your images will look on coffee cups or mouse mats…its simply and genuinely about you…and your images and your art all adjudicated by your peers””
I have paid my subscription for this year at Webshots but I will no longer come here regularly. I had to choose between the two sites (the Bubble is for free !) because it just takes up to much time to belong to both. If you feel like coming to look me up please do so that you can then see for yourself how much better your photographs look on the bubble as well. The webadres is www.redbubble.com and my name that you should look up is SandraRos. If you would like to contact me via my email address you are very welcome it is sandraros@mweb.co.za. Regards to you out of Jaansburg
Why thank you Dave, it's nice to read you on the boards again, and thanks so much for the super dooper over the top compliment on my knees, I needed that!! Di
