  • CKG Tour - Thank you for posting the photos from last year's tournament at Verdugo Hills Golf Course. A developer has filed to change the zoning on the property to allow a 229 unit housing development. Many in the foothills communities are opposed to the development and would like to see a multi-jurisdictional purchase of the property by the City of LA, County of LA, City of Glendale, and the Santa Monica Mountains Conservancy. The developer has said he is willing to consider selling the property. We need the cities, county and SMMC to find the funding to make this happen. If you would like more information about the effort to save this community landmark, please visit www.savethegolfcourse.org . The VHGC provides an important training ground for youngsters, practice for seasoned players' short game, and is an excellent course for Seniors. We do not want to see it lost to a housing development. Thank you again for sharing the photographs. It is great to see the kids playing the various golf courses. Great program.
