    • Hello... In this month's newsletter from the Turtle Hospital (in the Keys) they have a photo of YOUR turtle (at least I think it is your turtle) on the front page. Not sure if you knew this... BILL-WI CC member Webshots Member Keys Traveler

    • That's so much better than sending a message in a bottle. Just send off a camera with in a waterproof housing :-) Amazing story! Great advertisement for Nikon & Ikelite too ;-) I was sorry for the turtle though as it seemed really in much distress. Congratulations on finding the owners - almost mission impossible, but you managed :-) Karin

    • Aperala - The camera was a Nikon Coolpix L18. It was 8mp and 3x zoom. The waterproof housing that protected it was an Ikelite.

    • The story of how a lost camera survived a long sea journey and was returned is the featured one today at Yahoo! I am impressed with the diligence you showed in searching for the origins of the camera. It's very cool that you made the effort and were successful! It's a nice positive tale that is giving me a nice smile at the start of my day.

    • Sir - Can you kindly pass on the model Nikon that was found? the photo shows an 8 Mp Nikon, perhaps an older model, but I am looking to buy a new digital camera and if this one can survive an ocean trip of that duration without losing data, and with a sea turtle's endorsement, well, I sure would like to know! thank you!

    • Mandy - the camera is in the mail. You should have it shortly. Please, I do not want any reimbursement. It was rewarding enough I found you. I live about 2.5 hrs from Miami. If you are flying in a day or two prior to your cruise, I would love to drive up and meet you folks.

    • Hello Aquahound, I was just approached at my son's school by a woman who asked me if I lost a camera. I said yes, but that was many months ago. I told her that my husband lost it during his dive and he didn't noticed it. She recognized my daughter from the picture. I couldn't believe it because she also said that a turtle took it with him. I'm still smiling about this story and looked it up at You Tube. It was hilarious! I saw you did a lot of work trying to find us, I saw it on Aruba.com and Cruise Critic but only after the woman came to me because I never visit Aruba.com and when I'm on Cruise Critic I only look for the harbours. We are going on a cruise on the 25th of July and we start from Miami. Do you live nearby? The bad thing of losing the camera was that it wasn't ours. #####, my husband, borrowed it and had it in his possesion for a couple of months until he lost it. The guy, an owner of a divingschool here, never made a fuss about it so that was cool. I can't wait to tell him this story! If there's no way that we can meet in July is it possible then that you send it back to us? Maybe I can buy a box at DHL to send it to you and that you put it in there and send it back to us on our expenses? I don't know how to transfer money to the States from here. Really I'm so glad you found it and all the work you put in to it to find us...and the turtle, that's so amazing!!! I would love to hear from you soon! Greetings, Mandy from Aruba
