Hi Abid,

I am working on stress physiology of this wild growing fruit species which is highly resistant to drought and high temperature.
Best regards
sohail
Hi Abid! It's been a long time since we've touched base and I hope you're well. I haven't been writing much this summer - maybe when it's cooler I'll come indoors more often and start being creative. But I take lots of photos around the garden, and I've entered the National Geographic photo contest with eight of my shots so I'm letting my WS friends know. I'll give you a link to four; I believe you can search for others), and would appreciate it if you could take a look. There is a people's choice award, based on voting by the public, as well as the judges' selections. The cougar shot seems to be my top vote-getter so far although perhaps not the best photo. The two cats playing are next - they're my Manx rescues, Gollum and Aragorn. That shot was here on WS and recently won a best-in-show at a local photo exhibition contest. The hummingbirds are from my garden. But the NG competition is huge, with thousands of entries, so mine will get lost in the crowd. I just figured I might as well try, to see if people like my work. Enjoy! ~ Brenda

Dear Abid, I’m sorry to inform you that I reach the decision to leave WS and to continue my photo activity on Redbubble, where I’m already operating and where I met a lot of old WS’ friends. This because I’m very disappointed by the behaviour of WS’ staff who deleted without any reason pictures and whole albums of a friend on mine and by the loose of views (more than 500) and downloads (more than 50) on my albums after I supported in some messages my friend. Moreover I’m unsatisfied because of the bugs of the latest release of WS desktop, the more and more poor quality of the Pro shots, and other minor items. Anyway I’ll continue time by time uploading shots on WS till July 2009, when I’ll cancel my premium account. I hope you will continue enjoy watching my newest shots and supporting me with your helpful comments and suggestion. You are welcome at the following links:

I wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. Sergio

Hello Abid58 - I can't thank you enough for your very kind message regarding my Favourite Photos Collection. Your comments brightened my day. Cheers, Sandra.
Hi Abid! I am very pleased to read your comment on my reflections shots.Thank you very much!I really appreciate it.You have felt the spirits.Best wishes,Rossi
Forgive me that I did not THANK YOU sooner for your kind words regarding my 3rd place finish in the "Orange Creative Challenge". It was a complete shock to me. Anyway, I do appreciate your words and wish you the best! Kris :)
Hi Abid, Thanks for looking at the Tall Ships album No, sorry I hadn't heard of the trouble in Islamabad. It seems that these militants are so busy killing folks all over the world that most of what we hear about is when they kill Americans. I live near Army and Air Force bases so it frequently touches our community. It's sad that the world is this way. Anyway, thanks again for your visit.

Hi, I had a great experience over the Holiday weekend. The Tall Ships visited Tacoma and it was GREAT. The highlight was getting to go aboard USCGC Eagle "America's Tall Ship". Took too many pics to get them edited and all up at once, but I'm getting a few up every night. Please Take a look, keep checking back, and if you ever get the chance to see the Tall Ships DO IT! Dave
Hello Abid, I use LCD monitor to view photo and I feel quite ok,but after read your comment,I use a CRT monitor to view my photos again then I saw the different of them, you are right,I have over edited some of my photo,I want to edit them again but I afraid all the comment will lose,I will be more careful with my next album, thanks again.
Thanks for your kind comment on my photo for this week's Creative Challenge. This is actually only about 4 miles from a major highway that crosses the Cascade Mountains in Washington State, USA. It is near Mt Rainier. More photos of this trip are in the Naches Peak and Dewey Lake album. Our destination was the twin lakes shown in one of the pix. Wish I could backpack in your country someday.
Greetings Abid from Australia to I presume, India. You made a comment on one of my albums - a foto of myself - Oh! so long ago. Life gets busy and I don't get to respond immediately to people, but I have just browsed your albums and enjoyed looking thru them. You have a great variety of subjects. My Mum was Anglo-Indian/Burman - it was about five generations back, but she had to leave after Independence came. So for that reason, especially, I have enjoyed your albums. Blessings,
I'm so happy to read your comments on my shots! Glad you like the doe in the rain. That wasn't an easy one to capture. Both photographer and subject were soaked! But now I'm wondering ... where are your "water" challenge entries? You have so many fine river shots. Please let me know. I hope all's well with you and yours. ~ Brenda
Thank you for your wonderful and thoughtful message on my album of the swans from Stanley Park. I have really enjoyed visiting a couple of your albums today and will return soon to see the rest. Have a great week. Cheers, Sandra.
Hello Abid, thank you so much for your very kind comments and the poetry. This album had been in my mind but I never had the time to put it in place. From time to time I'll add more pics. All the best Poupoune (I'm a woman).
Hello Abid, thank you very much for your generous comments on my cc-reflections 'garden in a raindrop' entry. I truly appreciate your taking the time to write those comments. Wish you wonderful days ahead. Regards, ~ Marilyn
Hi Abid - thanks for your very kind comments on my butterfly album...I appreciate the feedback. I have been trying to improve my naming habits (for flowers too) but admit, half the time I don't know the names really...please forgive any confusion, as I grow in knowledge I will get better. Keep well, Shauna
