Hi Ken - a belated thanks for the information about the artillery insignia shown on one of my pictures. I - along with my buddies there - never wondered about the correctness of the artillery symbol, who and when painted it etc. But even 50 years have passed since, it's never too late to learn. My only regret is even now, that I haven't taken more pictures at the time...Memory fades, but we are still here - it's a good thing. All the best to you - Jim
Hi Ken, How are things with you these days? I would like to talk to you about a book I am working on about Korea. My email address is sparksjam@gmail.com
Hello Ken Love your pictures. Is their a chance that I could use some of them for another web site that is oriented to the ASCOM area and Agent Orange. Will give credits to you with watermark and your albums. Ron Ellars
I just stumbled into your site. I once stumbled into your footprints as well. I was with HHB I Corps Grp Arty from March 1969 to Feb 1970. I was with Personnel Actions, then the Recuriters Office, Reenlistment Office. I left St. Barbra in Feb 70 to be reasigned to HHC, 8th US Army Yong Song in Seoul. I enjoyed your photos. Names that I knew were Sp4 Jim Williamson, SP4 Roy Baker, 1sgt William Boyette, Blue, WO1 Walker and of course myself Sp5 Rodger Norris I also staffed Red Ball and Red Ball One at Santa Barbra. I wonder if we crossed paths or I only followed you. rwnorris@dellcity.com

Hi Ken, Thanks for adding me to your friends list. I tryed printing some of the pictures of the 377th Med Co and the Hospital. Like I said before, I was the Aircraft Maintenance Officer at Canp Mosier Sept 74 - Feb 75. I remember the Mash producers coming over for ideas for the show, the swamp (it was actually an enlisted barracks), an expecially Rose's. I tried printing some picture but they were a thumbnail (Pik to small). I have 11 pictures in my album. Could you email me scanned images of these 11 pictures, so that I can print them? Me email is kaydees@embarqmail.com. I sure would like to talk with you sometime. My wife and I have gone back to Korea several times 1985, 1989, 1999, 2007 and were going again in 2011.
Keep in touch.

thanks for remembering me about Camp Jackson, I did look at the photos HHC1STBN23RDIFN. Photo NO 6 is the HQ for 3rd BDE of 2nd and 7TH Inf Div. The date was 1967 for this photos. I was there in 1971. Same HQ, but this had dual use, evidently 2nd and 7th would rotate, and both units used the same HQ. I believe the photo you have is marked wrong. Again this was in 1967, maybe different use then. You can check it out by looking at my photos under " philaman ". Close to Camp Jackson, would walk in the morning to get my duty for the day at HQ'S. Have you ever seen this HQ on a map? Thanks again nearest place anybody has found to where I was on the DMZ.

Ken, I talked to Harold Dean today and he said he had not heard from you in quite a while......hoped you are doing well (as I do also).......we had a good back and forth about our days in the 1st Cav. back in 1957-58 at Munsan-Ni, can not believe it has been so long.......any plans to add more to your website.......Bill Strouse.....1st Cav. Hi Ken,returning your post to me about finding Camp Jackson on a map. I never seen this Camp (Jackson) on any maps of Korea. I can tell you I was near Libby Bridge, I was across the River on the North side. Worked out of 3RD BDE 7TH and 2ND Div HQS. Camp Jackson was down the road from HQS. This was 1970-71.
I can not find anyone that was there when I served. I guess you seen the photos I have of the area. If you can find and tell me where this Camp was located. I would be very grateful. tstiefel1@verizon.net
Thanks tom Stiefel (PHILAMAN)

Hi Ken. Great pictures. I was stationed at Camp St. Barbara from 1968-1969. I remember a lot of the faces of the guys in your pictures.
I ran across this page when I was looking for information on Agent Orange & Camp St. Barbara. Would love to talk to you or any of the guys that were stationed over there during this time. My name is Howard "Ed" Allen. I was close friends with "Tops" Carl Grisby (also looking for him). I was a driver for the Battery Commander. Here's my email address, hopefully we can chat. Trying to get my benefits started, but the VA is telling me that Camp St. Barbara never existed, and it wasn't sprayed with Agent Orange, but the ones that were stationed over there knows better.. Hopefully you or some of the other guys can help me out.. Any and all help would be great!! My email address is amswinc@aol.com

Great pics. I was at C company 70duece 69-70. I was company driver and spent a lot of time at units in the z bringing inspection and maitenance people back and forth. I am trying to find any copies of tapes of afkn from late 60s-70. I had a lot of these that i recoreded on my reel to reel (that we all had). When I came home one of my cartons never made it and it had my tapes in it. Anyone who reads this that has afkn tpaes please let me knoe> I will gladly reimburse material and time.
Thanks

Ken, Thanks for the effort putting all of these great pictures up. I was in the Hq.& A Company, 702nd Maintenance Battalion, 2nd Division at Camp Rice. I have many memories from my experience there from June 1968 until Dec 1969. We were next to Yonga Kol and near Rec 1. I made a lot of excursions with Staff Sergeant Major Lee ( I think). He was one of the first SSgt's promoted to Command Sergeant Major. We went to Blue Lancer Valley and all around the 2d Division area. Thanks again. Dave
Ken,
I was in Korea 16May1968 to 16July1969. I lost all of my pictures over the years, was with B Co 2nBn 23rd Inf (Mech) can't seem to find any of the guys from that time. Do you have more pictures of Camp Wilson? 2/23 trained down south for 4 months and then went up north. Can't seem to remember the name of the compound where we stayed up north. Would appreciate anything you got.

Hi Ken, thanks for all the photos of Korea. I would also like to go to Korea one more time. I was at Camp Custer in 65-66. I was there when the 1st cav. became the 2nd Inf. There was a big parade and the !st cav. colors were uncased and paraded in front of the Division. We then became the 2nd Inf. Div. I would like to return to korea and climb up to the top of Charley Block. I helped build bunkers up the in the summer of 1965. I would like to see if there are still there. A few years ago I wrote a letter to the XO of B Co. 1st Bn. 9th Inf. He wrote back to me and said that he had never heard of Camp Custer or Charley Block. I wonder if Camp Custer is still there. I am sure Charley Block is still there.
Thanks again for the pictures of Korea. They bring back so many memories. I hope someday the korean people will be reunited and there is no more DMZ.
Tom
