The Collings Foundation brought their "Wings of Freedom Tour" to Valparaiso, IN on July 31-August 2, 2006. For the first time they brought their B-25.

In 2007 I assisted my local stop coordinator on the Collings Bomber Tour and had the opportunity to ride the B-24 to Valparaiso on July 25.

World War II Tribute 2006

Every year the Lake County Parks Dept. hosts a World War II festival at Buckley Homestead County Park in Lowell, IN. This event hosts over 300 re-enactors, 80 vehicles and several aircraft.

A Classic Warbird Weekend 2006

On June 10-11 the Indiana Aviation Museum hosted a Warbird Fly-in featuring the Yankee Air Museum's B-25D Mitchell "Yankee Warrior." Many other warbirds visted as well.
