Allen Mogul Tender

I am building a Gene Allen designed mogul 2-6-0 steam locomotive in 1.5" scale. It will be 1/8 the size of a real steam engine. I am starting the tender first, both because it is cheaper and because it is better for the beginner.

Camas Prairie Train Layout

I started my third N scale layout this spring to help me relax during non-studying hours. It is based on a real railroad in the Pacific Northwest. This one will be larger, and provisions will be made for expansion. Thus far, I have redrawn or repaint

A&A - #18 Returns

Steam engine #18 finally is back in service, and she looks great! Sarah and I went down to ride the first train she pulled, then took pictures of the second train.

Glimmerglass State Park

For Labor Day, our church held a picnic at this park along the lake. We went on a long hike, took lots of pictures of mushrooms, and let our dog swim in the lake.

Japanese (JACAD) Picnic

The Japanese Awareness (something else) held a picnic in Albany, and the public was invited. Great Japanese food, plus a table of potluck... karate and judo demonstrations... Japanese crafts... a "for sale" table... people in costume... IT WAS FUN!
