Military Plane pictures around MacDill AFB

A variety of Military aircraft landing, taking off, flying over, around or otherwise close enough for my 20X(775mm) lens to get a glimpse of. Most of them are probably here for their Tanker Certification and between 1/4 and 1/3 mile away when on approach.

airboat

18 foot Airboat with a 600+ Cubic inch, 8 cyl. Continental ground power engine swinging a 3 blade, 76" Magnum Airboat IVOPROP. Can you say "who needs a ride at Busch Gardens when you have this doin 50mph?" Hang ON!!!

Beginning Astrophotography is an art with a steep learning curve!!

Digital camera, telescope, tracking mount. Crude but semi effective at learning something about astrophotography. Its NOT AS EASY as some folks make it look. I'm enjoying my results none the less. Hope you enjoy them too.

STS-124 Discovery Launch

Pictures taken from Space View Park in Titusville, FL. The first launch I have seen in person. WHAT A RUSH! A friend was at the Cape when they landed and provided me with pictures of Discovery being taken to the VAB.

Pictures of the rental chalet north of Gatlinburg, TN and some of the decorations inside. Scenery views from the back deck as the fog cleared in the morning. My first time in the mountains so I probably took to many pictures but I couldn't get enough.

4th of July Fireworks at Channelside, Tampa, FL

Some photos of the Channelside Fireworks display looking West from 22nd St. towards Garrison Channel. I was only 1/4 mile away. What a view!!! My first serious effort to get some good fireworks photos. Timing was everything.
