Smoky Days in Calgary and Canmore

Last August and early September 2003, Calgary skies have been under influence of heavy smoke from burning forests in BC. Some days the visibility and quality of the air were very poor.

Arrow Park, West Kootenays, BC

Along the beautiful and very scenic shores of the Upper Arrow Lakes, is a third ferry which joins the communities of East and West Arrow Park. It is located 20km south of Nakusp. Before flooding in late 1960's, it was a very vibrant orchard community.
