Fall Colors - Lake Superior

The fall colors of Lake Superior's North Shore are a little late this year. It is not peak time, yet, but there are colors to see. We found the best colors as viewed from Tofte Peak in Temperance River State Park. It is the smaller peak adjacent to Car

Sailing to the North Channel and back

We sailed a Catalina 36' from Ellison Bay, WI all the way past Gore Bay, Ontario in August for 16 days. Our target was to see the North Channel of Lake Huron. It was an awesome trip.

Boat project

Adam and I started a project of replacing the rotten floor of our ski boat. It's an 84 Supra with a 351 engine in it. We separated the top from the bottom by hoisting the top up into a frame. Then we pulled the bottom out from under it. We then procee

Spring in Minnesota on Bald Eagle Lake

Spring in Minnesota is a beautiful time of year. Things are busting out all over. The ice is finally of the lake. Everyone is eager to get out and enjoy the outdoors. In June, people are still water skiing until 9:45pm! Sunrise is ridiculously early.
