vienna's central cemetery (in german > zentralfriedhof) is the largest and most famous cemetery among vienna's nearly 50 burial grounds. with an area of 2.4 sq.km. it is the second largest cemetery in europe (after the one in hamburg, germany).

Germany VII (2009) - Mecklenburg-Vorpommern's north shore

mecklenburg-vorpommern (or "mv" in short) is a german state in the north, along the baltic sea. parts of the shore are protected in a national park, and there are lovely seaside resorts along the coast.

a year along the creek (1) - autumn / fall 2009

this album was started in october, 2009 (although there are lots of photos already in other albums). i thought it would be nice to document how things change with the seasons. the creek in question is called schwechat (in lower austria, south of vienna).

Germany II (2009) - frankfurt, wiesbadan and a cruise on the rhine

frankfurt - already an "old acquaintance", but gladly visited again; wiesbaden - elegant, laid back, nice to get to know; the rhine valley - justly considered one of the most beautiful regions of europe and a UNESCO world heritage site.
