Album Info:

IMPORTANT FOR LATER WINDSTARS: The brake pedal switch wires DO NOT supply the correct signal required for a brake controller (this is true of my 2000 Windstar; I suspect it's true for all Windstars 1999 and later, when the Windstar went to low-side switching). The correct signal can be found on the connector I'm holding; it's the green wire my index finger is touching. This connector comes taped to a wiring harness above the brake pedal area. I'm showing it after undoing the tape and soldering the connection I needed. Note that you can also find ready-made connectors from trailer supply houses that will plug into this connector. This picture (sorry it's a little fuzzy) is take with the camera where the driver's feet would be, looking up and toward the front of the van. The black vertical line immediately to the right of my hand is attached to the brake pedal, which is immedately below this picture.
