Album Info:
It was there for only a few moments and only manged this one shot then it was gone. A gardener was watching as this photo was taken and came to say it was quite rare and valuable. It seems it had escaped from the zoo next to the gardens, some weeks before. A number of gardeners then rushed over to try and catch it, and to think it was next to me.

Super particular duck! Never seen before this kind. My wonderful colours!! Just a pity because a little tail part is missing!

I have never seen this bird in my life. Actually, if I could ever seen it, I wouldn't think it's real - so much colours. I can not describe by words, how much it is lovely. Great Lynn! Keep up the best work.

Hi Poppy, Love your photos! The Roses you asked about are mine. They are a lot of work but well worth the effort. :-)

I'm confused, the page where this shot is posted, has photos of totally different birds, they are calling "Mandarin ducks".

Hi Poppy, Iread the abreviated caption and was going to tell you that this was a Mandarin Duck but I see that you already know that. Hopefully he was recaptured and returned to the safer environment of the zoo. Mike
