Hi Windsor, I thank you for your visit to my album A walk in Val Chisone and for your kind comments. Merry Christmas and Happy New Year from Sergio, Italy.

I should have read all of my messages before responding. Thank you for viewing and commenting on several other images in my Cascades Mountains 2 album. Are these photos in a featured album? I believe several were sometime in the past, but I only know of one photo that is in a webshots feature album as of yesterday.

Winsor, thank you for commenting on my LaBohn Lake photo that is in my Cascade Mountains 2 ablum. The photo is a scanned slide. I have several thousand photos taken on Kodachrome 25, 64 and several Fuji slide films that I would love to have scanned. When I had this and about 50 other slides scanned, I was so disappointed in the quality that I have not had more scanned. The slide is much sharper than what you see posted here. Yes, that is a remote area in King County WA. There is a trail for about 9 miles, then cross country a shorter distance. I have not been there for many years, so I might not have details correct. Fantastic country. I would like to go back to the area. Once again I am following Stzar around. That is common, but not on intended. lol. She commented on the photo in question more than 8 months ago.

Hey Windsor! Glad to hear you're still charging up those mountains! - Which mountains exactly this time? It's been so miserably hot here this summer - am really glad to see fall coming, tho I don't imagine the colors will be as nice since it's been so dry so long. Will hope for the best tho and take what comes. I haven't had much chance to goof off like I normally do browsing my Webshots friends' albums, but hope to correct that soon. I definitely want to check out all your latest which I've been neglecting. Please take lots and lots more wonderful shots of your inspiring rambles - I'm looking forward to settling down to enjoy them soon! Happy trekking and take care!! Kathy

Howdy Windsor. I recommended "Desert Solitaire" as the book by Edward Abbey to read - (if) you find the idea interesting ? But, I change my recommendation to - "The Journey Home: Some Words in Defense of the American West" (Hardcover). Just under $28 at Amazon.com. It's hard to find. The copy at Amazon is a one and only - at this time. So, for whatever it's worth ... ! And thanks for the interesting words from Norman Clyde. Keep bringing us your spectacular scenes from the high country ... sure a real pleasure!!!! Stoney Creeks - in Seattle

Thanks Windsor, for checking out my Big Horn Mtns album, and for all your remarks. I just love these mtns, they were the first snow-covered mtns I ever saw, and I've been in love with them ever since, even though I'm always only passing through. I've got lots more shots that I haven't uploaded yet - my dial-up is so-o-o slow. Hope you're enjoying a relaxing Labor Day weekend, or hiking in some wonderful wilderness spot - whichever makes your day! Cheers to you my pal!

Thanks Noondueler, I appreciate your compliment on my image "St. Peter's Sq, Rome." Occasionally I get a lucky shot! Most of the time it's 'hit and miss.' Char

Hi Windsor, Good to hear from you. Glad you are enjoying the Virtual Journey and Clearly Now? publications. Unfortunately people on Yahoo, AOL, Hotmail, GMail, etc. (all of the internet freebees) are not able to receive the embedded sound. (They block it). That is a shame as they are really cool with the music. Most do not get the backgrounds either. You most likely will need to hook up to broadband via your cable or phone company and use MS Outlook for your email in order for all of it to work properly. Mean while, enjoy as you can! Rick

Hi Windsor! Good to hear from you. I'm going to have to find a good time soon to sit down and enjoy your latest offerings. Sounds like you've been having a busy summer. Since I haven't been on a trip this year, I've kinda got the blahs, but it helps to see all the wonderful places you and others here have been exploring. Hope you have a "cool" August! Take care, Kathy

I had some free time, so I came back to view some of your other work. Quite impressive! While here, I also noticed I left the "e" off of (Maine) Coon. Not really important, but noticeable. I also notice and have an eye for excellent photography. Although mine don't qualify in that category, yours certainly do! I especially enjoyed the slide show of "Best of Noondueler, 2005-07." If I had read your profile before viewing the Cubes album I'd have known what breed of cat he is. I guessed he was a Main Coon, since they are one of the largest breeds...second only to the Rag Doll, I think. There is a breed called a Norwegian Forest cat (I think that's what it's called) that gets pretty huge!

Hi, I superbly enjoyed your album "Best of the rest, Sierra and more". Thanks for all of your kind words in my in my Glacier, Bryce and Redwoods National Parks albums. I publish a couple of high quality email publications that go out to tons of non-Webshots people and a growing list of Webshots fans around the world. They are *Virtual Journey ...features a Webshots photo album cover shot in HD along with album description, stats, guestbook entries and a link to view the slideshow, all set to music.....and *Clearly Now? ...contains interesting photos and matters of interest (the type of stuff that people like to forward to their friends), with a copy of a previous Virtual Journey at the bottom. Virtual Journey and Clearly Now? are great ways to get non-Webshots folks as well as Webshots members to take a look at a Webshots photo album. If you share your email address with me, I will add you to the growing list of of Webshots members who receive them and possibly feature one of your albums in an upcoming issue. They are free and unlike most things today, there are not strings attached. I do it all as a hobby for the benefit of my Webshots Friends. Your friend, Rick/Arizona.
