Thanks for your comment on my Window of Color photo. It's one of my favorites too! I am also excited to announce a new album today titled AS TIME MARCHES ON, featuring 3 new sunsets, a moonrise, the definition of a blue moon, exploring Bandon's beaches, the legend of Face Rock, whale sightings, plus much more. I hope you have time to check it out! Thanks again! -Randy

No, have not seen Bradford Washburns book "Mountain Photography". Sounds like I need to check it out. Thanks for the tip! -Randy

Hi Windsor! How goes it! Just got my computer back in shape after a glitch in the system, so I've really been missing my Webshots friends. I am so impressed (and envious!) that you do those amazing treks solo, and take your own self-portraits. It sounds like such a wonderful way to commune with nature and "get away from it all" on your own terms. Do hope you are always very careful,(and I know you must be, just looking at how many fantastic places you've captured on your trips.) Looking forward to seeing more after your next adventure. Take care, Kathy

Five days have elapsed since you were kind enough to make a coment on my photo "Smaller Falls", and I apologize for the delay in responding. But thank you so much for your nice words and for visiting my album! -Randy

Yes, Photoshop is great, but lightroom is really cool too! I just got your message for some reason it didn't come to me and I just found it looking around!

Hey there! Glad to hear from you again and can't wait to see what you've been shooting on your recent Sierra trip - hope you had good weather. I've seen all your albums and must surely have seen the Mammoth area one, but am definitely going to return and check it out again! Thanks for remarks on my pics! Take care, Kathy

Thanks for the comments on my Western States Album. Not quite as impressive as your treks, but a bit of distance covered. I really appreciate your corrections on the mountain names, those were my best guess based on topo maps. A little harder when you haven't actually traversed them. I used to be an avid backpacker in NM, but have to wait awhile now that I have small children.

Windsor! I mean, not Winston - boy, I'm really showing off my computer illiteracy today! I notice everyone on your message board calls you John tho'. Happy Trails!

Hi Winston. Say hello to Death Valley for me and take lots of pictures! That place is so scary but appealing at the same time - be careful! I live in the midwest actually, Kentucky, originally southern Indiana, but I am crazy for the western states and the Pacific ocean, of course, and whenever I can scrape up the money I try to get out there on vacation. Unfortunately, won't be going this year for the first time in many years. Cash flow problems!(And it's killing me!) Maybe next year. I'm truly honored that you'd have me along for a hike although I doubt I could keep up with you,

That quotations I copied from Internet, I thought it would be better than the name flower arrangement.

Hi John. glad you visited my pics again. Wow you moved from St. Pete to where I grew up! Interesting. So now you understand how I can miss it so much out there especially in the summers! Well it is paradise here Nov-May though, I must admit! Hey so check out my new osprey pics I just put up when you get a chance. There is a nest 2 miles from me with 5 babies, but you can't really see them very well since it is so high up. I did my best with my 10x zoom though.

Thanks for checking out my running pics. I was actually running just outside Fort Collins, CO. Moved out of Cali this past fall for Grad school, I do miss the Sierras, but the Rockies are nice too.

Oops... Edit the last post to include the word "interesting" at the end of the second sentence. :)

Hey John, thanks for the comments on my photos! I especially found your comment regarding the Trinity Alps area and how they could possibly be a part of the Sierras. In hiking in the area, I found many more similarities than differences. The Trinity Alps differ dramatically from the rest of the Coastal Range, and seem to have more in common with the Sierras. I definitely need to go back there and spend more than just a day there, whenever I can find the time. If you have Google Earth, you should check them out. They're pretty amazing, and being at lower altitudes, noticeably easier on the lungs than the Sierras.

Thank you, John, for your wonderful comments on my flower album! Since I have 3 cats of my own, I just had to take time to look at your cat, Cubes, and I fell in love... a beautiful cat! Have a great day! June from TN

Hi Jhon and thanks for your recent comments on my albums. Regarding your question, the Pyrenees, as you know, are the border among France and Spain so it belongs to both countries. The highest mountain there is the Spaniard peak named 'the Aneto' (3.404 m.) vs. 'the Teide' located in Canary Island (Sapin) which is 3.718 m. high. Now you know why it is the highest mount in Spain. I hope you will enjoy this little explanation. Best regards, and keep in touch. Manuel

Hi John, Thanks for your numerous guest book comments on several of my albums - I appreciate them. Mountains, rocks, flowers - and photography are some of my main interests - and your albums are a veritable treasure chest of great mountain scenery all over the Western US. My hiking was confined to the White Mountains (but of NH) , with my favorite being Mt.Washington. You, as I see from your albums have been all over, and usually as high as anyone could reach. I am bookmarking your albums and want to come back to beef up my collection of WS screensavers with some of your great mountain scenery. I am glad that your comments made me aware of the existence of your great photos. With my best wishes and regards, bruno

Hello John, thanks for the invitation to be friends. Now about your question if the tour of Flanders cross that Bridge in Brugge. No it doesn't!Because that bridge is really small and narrow, and more a walking bridge then a cycling bridge. But the tour of Flanders is coming in or in the neighbourhood of Brugge. All depending what the route is,it changes every year. Thanks again and take care, regards,Henri
Thanks for correcting the name of Bridaveil falls, I have done all that parks in just one trip, when I came back it was difficult to remember all the names.Best wishes. Estela from Brazil.
