Hi David, Thanks for your kind message on my 'Temples of Egypt' shot. I was really pleased that it was chosen as Photo of the Day but what makes it really special is that people like yourself have taken the time to pass nice comments. Thanks again

Hello David, first off thankyou so much for the brouse through my albums, and I love it when someone leaves comments, thanks. About the blanks, I am completely stumped, I'll have to get in touch with w.s. about that. I did go back to the umitilla pics. and they show up on the thumbnails of the album pics. but sure enough just looking through 1 at a time, some have taken off into the black hole. One more thing to keep me busy guessing. Ok, time for me to see what you like to take pics of. Please stop by anytime. Diane

Hi David - I have to apologize for not getting back sooner to thank you for your wonderful comments on my photos. I left town last July 22, and just got back a week ago just as my classes here were starting. I had no computer access to read messages or to reply to them. Having a POTD this week didn't help matters either. So I am way behind in thanking people. So let me thank you for your kind comment on my "Wildwood Pier at sunrise" POTD (even though WS called it a sunset photo by mistake). I am also overwhelmed by your wonderful comments on practically every other photo in that album and a few others too. I very much appreciate all of them. When I am able to get finished with all of these TYs, I will definitely be back to check out your work too. Mike

David, sometimes our responses here don't adequately communicate what we are most wishing to express. There isn't the nuance of body language and inflection/intonation heard in our voices. And arguably, through electronic conversation -- we don't have the experience of intimacy with people we really don't know. I truly believe you would be a wonderful gatekeeper of my work, and I of yours, my friend. Yes it is sad about internet theft. But view my words none too harshly. While it can be frustrating and disappointing -- I am reminded of the "Blood" you spoke of. It was Christ whose last act of love in the flesh gave freely forgiveness, redemption and salvation to a thief who hung dying with him. Thank you for your most recent comment, brother. Welcome my friend.

David, I just read your comment on my Joy in Desolation album. I love the song "Be Still My Soul" by Dallas Holm and Praise. I really don't subscribe to a religion. I grew up as a Presbyterian. Today, I attend a Non-Denominational Church by the name of Jesus Chapel Westside. I love the fact that my church has my Lord's name as part of it's title. I found out that 30 years ago that religion left me dead, but relationship was what God has all along intended. That instead of being a lab rat in which the Creator of the universe is keeping score, I have a daily living relationship with a God whose immeasurable love is not only found on a cross, but in EVERY good thing that is in my life!! All the best, Brent.

Good question David. There is a two-fold answer. One is during much of that period, I just didn't participate that much here at Webshots. Some of my pics made the front page, and I received comments -- but if there was a way to track my comments, you would see my activity was very sparse. I have long enjoyed other sites where there are some amazing photographers. One of them is this: http://www.digitalimagecafe.com Sites like this occupied the bulk of my time for quite a while. By the way, if you want to view my gallery or POTD's there, you can use this link: http://digitalimagecafe.com/member_profile.asp?member=bjclarke1 I can't remember, but the galleries may be for members only?? I have a smattering of POTD's, but there are some photogs who have hundreds -- they are amazing. Anyway, back to the orginal tone of this note -- The other reason was I was somewhat concerned with pictures of mine being lifted by others. Unfortunately, we have seen that practice here most recently -- this is a serious issue on the internet as a whole. I had a number of pictures, including the sunset shot of the San Juans that I didn't post here for fear of that. I still have some concerns -- but there really isn't a remedy for controlling this. So, consequently, I might as well participate and put more trust in folks. I believe most people are good and will do the right thing. Thanks for the question and for the visit!! -Brent

Thanks so much, David, for your generous comment on my recent challenge winner and subsequent POTD. Several have asked about this photo, so here's the low down. No, I didn't hang on the wing of the plane, but I was blessed with the cleanest windows in my entire flying career, just spotless! Though the atmosphere was very dirty near the ground, as we ascended from Denver to Salt Lake City, the air got very clear and clean, another blessing. This shot was made over Utah, I think, but it could be Colorado you're seeing, so residents of both states can probably claim this interesting landscape. Farmers who coax crops from this hostile land with irrigation and perspiration have my undying respect. Again, thanks so much for your support and kindness; both are appreciated more than you know. Regards, Fred
