Greetings David! Thank you for your kind comments regarding my challenge entries, and to answer your question: Yes, I'm a Christian. I received Christ at 6 years of age and have followed Him the best I can for 32 years... I'm a work in progress ;-)

Thanks so very much, David, for the compliments on my Sunset Challenge entries! I am grateful that you took a moment of your time to say something! As you can relate to, I feel fortunate to live on the Oregon coast where there are so many nice sunsets! Right now I am real busy responding to emails from having my album BEAUTIFUL ICE SCULPTURES featured on Webshots home page today! What an amazing response there has been so far! I am actually quite humbled by it all but very excited at the same time! Thanks again! -Randy

A 10 cylinder engine full THANK YOUs to you for your recent comment on my RWB Challenge win! I appreciate your comments immensely! I have also added to what I think is a fascinating photo-documentary of how rapidly the point at which the sun sets on the horizon is moving southward, since the summer solstice. I added a new comparison photo today in my APPRECIATION! album on page 10, photo number 111. It shows the change from a July 5th sunset to last night's (July 12th) sunset. There is also an earlier comparison on page 8, photo number 95, that compares June 21 to July 5th. It is really quite amazing how much change there is in such a short period of time! Check it out if you have a moment, I think you will be surprised. Thanks again and have a wonderful weekend! -Randy

I have a new album titled "Appreciation" that contains a photo dedicated to each one of my Webshots friends (in random order) which I'm proud to say includes you. It is a special album to celebrate the 500,000 views milestone that my photos recently passed. I am so very thrilled yet humbled that so many people enjoy seeing the beautiful places and things that I have had the pleasure of photographing, and I will be forever grateful for all that I have learned and for all the enjoyment I’ve had from seeing your photos too. You, my friend, make all the effort it takes to upload, title, and describe these photos, worthwhile. Thank you very, very much for your support, encouragement, and friendship! I hope you enjoy this special album and "your photo", and I look forward to sharing even more of each others photos in the weeks and years to come as we all grow together. Sincerely, -Randy

Almost everything does 0-60 in 6 seconds now-a-days, it seems like. Cool huh? -Randy

Hey you are right. I was misinformed. The RAM SRT-10 has a 7500 lbs towing capacity. Now I wonder about all-wheel drive/4WD availability on the RAM, since I heard that wasn't an available option? If its rear wheel drive I'll race one for pink slips on wet, icy pavement :-) But the RAM SRT-10 has earned the reputation as being the fastest pickup on the planet and it is... if gas prices would quit going up maybe I'd consider one next time(RAM SRT-10s get 12 compared to my 16). I gotta have 4 or all wheel drive though. I think they quick making the Silverado SS. -Randy

I'm not sure where Tim went to church. He had a couple older Mustangs so I thought maybe you knew him. My SS has a high-output 6L engine... about 345 horses, so nothing real special, but she'll do 0-60 in close to 6 seconds, pretty good for a "working truck".... has a high rear end ratio (4:10). It can also pull 6600 pounds and has a pretty good load capacity, which is why I didn't look at the RAM SRT-10, which is mostly a Viper in a pickup's body I don't think you can even put a trailer hitch on it. But for speed and acceleration and raw power, the SRT 10 can't be beat! I needed something that I could haul some firewood with, and get up into the mountains on logging roads and through snow, and the Silverado has all-wheel drive (20 inch tires) compared to rear-wheel only for the Ram SRT. Thanks for putting the story of the medals/coins on your photos, and thanks again for the friend invite! -Randy

Thanks for the comment on my weather channel pic. If you lived in North Bend and were into Mustangs, you probaly knew Tim Salisbury? I worked for him for a couple yars in the mid 90s... lived in North Bend then but am in Port Orford now. I grew up in Michigan, tho, and Dad worked in the automotive industry, grandad was an Indy freak, so I've got a mild passion for cars in my blood too. Learning to drive during the real muscle car years might have had a lot to do with it too. Never owned anything special, but always admired a good machine. I've always wanted to retire early so never spent big money on cars. So now I'm retired at 54 and get by with my Silverado SS. Lifes a balancing act. Nice to see the Shelby is back.

Good morning, David. Thanks for the comment on the "exercise" allbum.... It was done for a magazine... I did get excercise, but not with the class. Just thought I'd share a few of the shots from the series.

Hi David! I had to do a little research. The Image # was incorrect, however, the album IS "Garden of the Gods/Colorado Springs" and is by "pilgrims492003" He had a POTD from this album 6 months and 11 days ago. God bless and keep you and yours David!!!!!! "Cowboy Sr."
