Thank you for all your compliments. I very much appreciate hearing from you and I'm happy that you enjoy my photos. If you've never been here before, come visit Northwest Wyoming some time. There's Yellowstone and Grand Teton National Parks, the Absaroka and Beartooth Mountains, and a lot of good hospitality.

Hey back at ya girl. I am so pleased that you looked at my photo's and thoroughly enjoyed all the comments!!!. A DSLR....wow!!! I use a Canon PowerShot SX10 IS 20Xzoom and 10 megapixels. A fun camera. I started out with a little Kodak EasyShare and honestly I think I had better luck with it on the macro's. Anyway....you comment about finding a boyfriend to go traveling and shooting with....keep in mind that it's easier to shoot alone. My hubby is really good about stopping and letting me shoot, BUT it interferes....knowing that there is someone there patiently waiting so I tend to hurry up and not get shots that I would like to get. Anyway. that shot of the Ponderosa pine was a driveby but I was quickly panning with the speed of the car because I wanted to get the amazing bark in focus. I love those trees. and the drive by in Coos Bay of the Tracks, yep I was pleased with that one. Hey, I am looking forward to some albums with your new equipment. And while your at it....check out the web called RedBubble, I am on there too. there are amazing artists on there, some that are with WS too, but they allow for more playing with the cameras, writing, poetry, opinion pages, and painting....Thanks again for the stop by. Di

Hi Jesi. Thank you for your compliments on my photo and mine and my sons' service. If you ever get the chance to come up this way, the Yellowstone area is an adventurer's paradise. The Hellroaring Creek photo was taken up on the Beartooth (Beartooth Mountain Range). If you would like to see exactly where, please feel free to check my Panoramio page. Panoramio is a photo site run in conjunction with Google Earth/Google Maps and each photo has a geolocation with it. If you click on the thumbnail it will bring up a little larger image with a Google Earth map next to it show where the photo was taken. I'll have to leave www off the address because this message program thinks I'm spamming if I put in a complete web address. Thanks again Jesi. panoramio.com//user/18110 02

You will not look like a dork!!!.....There are some folks out there that upload and share pics. that they took with there cellphones and little point and shoots. I started out with a little Kodak EasyShare and people were very nice about it. I now have a Canon PowerShot SX10IS but it took a while to get it. and I still have so many things to learn. The POTD of Lizard Putte was such a shock to me. I wanted to thank you for going on and looking at some more of my stuff. and BTW. I didnt know about dragon/damsel fly's. does that mean the diff between male and female? I just thought the red ones were a type and that type was the damsel fly....see----you think your camera isnt good enough, and I KNOW my knowledge isnt....Keep on with your photo's and please keep sharing them. People are very understanding and caring on the Webshots. Di ;~}

Hello Jesi, thanks for the many comments you left on my Sturgis Fork album. To answer your question, this hike was in the Siskiyou Mountain Range, located in Oregon just north of the California border. It was unseasonably cold that day, it's rare to encounter a snowstorm in late June around here. So while I was cold and freezing, the end result is you got to enjoy it which made it all worthwhile! Thanks, once again. Richard

Hi Jesi, You asked about one of my photos (which does NOT make you a "dumb girl"). For an explanation see the next pic in that album. http://community.webshots.com/photo/2809322660041729665Ezkjpd I threw that album together in a hurry and did not get a lot of captions done. Thanks for your kind words. I consider it was and honor and privilage to serve this country we love. Steve
