Hi, Jade! Thanks for that music link. Can't get to it tonight, but will do so the first chance I get. I used to be a "square" regarding my taste in music [you know--the real heavy stuff ("classical")] until my daughter "enlightened" me (LOL)! Here's a new quote that I came across today: "The future belongs to those who believe in the beauty of their dreams"--Eleanor Roosevelt (1884-1962). Best regards, Miriam

Hi Jade, thank you so much for your visit and great comments on my Summer Finland album. I apreciated and enjoyed also your questions, and answered them all either in the captions or in the comments. It is nice to put the info in when somebody is asking, there is good feeling of communication.

Hello Jade, Thank you for your comments on my Challenge-Candlelight, "Christmas Candles". Christmas is always a warm and beautiful time of year in our house. It was fun to try to capture the feelings in photos. Have a great day. Marie

I never got any mail from you yesterday. I just thought to check the Google email site direct. I use Incredimail to check all my mail automatically for me. I guess I am going to have to check their SPAM folder. All four where in it.

Thanks for the comments. They must have been smokeless because they had them in every room on 3 floors and the basement. It is open to the public year round as a State of Georgia Historical site, but the candles are only once a year for the Christmas by Candlelight celebration. I was shooting with a tripod with 6 second exposures with a house full of guests taking the tour. It took a few tries sometimes when someone would walk in front of the camera or some kid would come bouncing along on the old wood floors of this 200 year old home. My wife burns candles every day of the year all over the place. I think she uses a lot of Soy candles. This was one of my first attempts at this type of photography with a new DSLR camera. I plan to be there next December to try again.

Thanks for the congrats. It is back. I was concerned about a possible spammer getting it after I ticked him off when I made a comment after I got redirected to his website advertisement and said he was SPAM. So I pulled it off for a few days.

Hi and Thanks for your kind comments on my CC entry! Much appreciated! When I'm not so tired I am anxious to look through your Fl. 93 album as well- It really does evolve all the time as they take down the mementos for storage until the permanent memorial. My Hubby was about the 3rd one on site after the crash as I grew up in the small town of Buckstown just a few miles away from teh site so it really "hit home" -Angie

Hi Jade, Your comment on my computer mouse asked if I killed it for the picture. Actually, it died several weeks ago. I just liked the looks of the mouse; it matched my computer so I kept it. Then when this CC came along, I did an autopsy and used that view for the pic. The mouse is in a plastic bag in parts now. I must force myself to throw it away. Marie

hi thanx for your comments. about cher. she is a finicky eater...she does not have expensive taste tho. in fact she wouldn't eat a shrimp or a piece of salmon if you put it in front of her. we offer her several choices. one of which is grass as she is kinda sickly. she has fur balls due to her long fur. mary

Thanks for finding and expressing such nice comments on my shadows in the snow. We are in the midst of a 3 to 5 inch snowfall, haven't taken any pictures yet this year with all our snow, this may be my last chance, I hope, I hope. Joan

Hi, again! Going over my extensive list of quotations (still in notebook form), I came across one I think you'll appreciate: "I have spent most of the day putting in a comma and the rest of the day taking it out" (Oscar Wilde)! How's that for humor? Had to laugh when I reread that because it's so true (at least for me)! Here's one that's deeper: "You need chaos in your soul to give birth to a dancing star" (Friedrich Nietzsche). Wishing you a great weekend! ~Miriam

Hi, Jade! You've put a smile on my face this morning! Just checked your profile page and can relate to your 5th quotation (LOL), as I tend to become obsessed with many things (WS, included). One word of advice: If you see something you like, grab it! Don't wait until tomorrow! For example, I subscribe to numerous newsletters (Beliefnet; WebMD; etc.) in which, among other items, are daily quotes. I've flagged so many of them without reading them, intending to come back to jot them down in my notebook, eventually typing all of them as a WORD document. However, yesterday--in an attempt to enable more free space on my C drive--I started deleting "old" e-mails, probably many of them with notable quotes. A word to the wise is sufficient (LOL). BTW: I wish WS had decided on a digital art challenge exclusively! Maybe we can convince them yet...Regards, Miriam

Hi Jade, thanks a lot for your visit, about your questions: 'Shot? On purpose, by mistake or by accident? That must have been a difficult time for all concerned.' Yes it was difficult,at the time our neighbour shot at our cat Minoe, she was just walking in his backyard. But our neighbour, was a drug addict, and afterwards he was sorry for what he did and paid for all the Vet costs. But we just couldn't live there any longer..so we searched for another place to live, and found a nice old house some years later, we bought that house, now about 10 years ago, and still are living here, without such a dangerous neighbour, so far..:) take care, Henri.
