Thank you for looking at my pink saque photo - the pattern is an old one by Leisure Arts. A friend had used the gown pattern 19 years ago for her granddaughter's christening. I have a similar old pattern from Paton & Baldwin which has the same leaf yoke design. It must have been a popular one 20 years ago? barnyowl

Thanks for the comments on my NY snow. All I could get for this challenge was old pictures. No snow in Georgia yet and none expected soon. I can't find anything white either. My sheets are not even white like one of their suggestions. These were with an old 2 MP camera and no idea of what I was doing.

Hi Jade, I loved your comment on my double yolk shot ... "so Webshooter" you said and I chuckled. This makes me think of the one I took of the frog who came down the vent pipe and I almost 'flattened' on the toilet seat. "WAIT," I said to Mike, "I HAVE to get my CAMERA!"

Thank you for your thoughtful comments on my Food Challenge entries. This challenge was really fun to work on, since I had to find old pictures in my collection (as I do frequently). I got to look through old photos and found some I had forgotten. Have a great day. Marie

Hi Jade, Glad that u now know what durian is. When I was in the US long time ago (almost 20 years ago), I could find durian in those Asian/Chinese shops, but somehow the species that being exported/imported lack of that smell. We could also sometime find durian being sold in the Saudi supermarket, again, lack of that smell, and very, very expensive. And I think it's from Thailand. About 'the smell of food was probably more important than the taste'; may be we can reword 'the beauty is in the eye of the beholder' to suit this by changing 'beauty' to 'smell/taste' and 'eye' to 'nose/tongue'...lol

Hi Jade, I found good, extensive info on durian. The links are as follows: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Durian http://asiancuisine.suite101.com/article.cfm/durian__the_king_of_fruit

Dear Jade, Thanks for viewing my Father's Orchard Album. Seems like u r enjoying it...the 'strange fruits'...bet you've never seen them before. And gotta learn a few malay words ('depan rumah aki' = in front of grandpa's house). We love going back to my parents' house, but now that we're so far away, we miss it very much. The durian...well, it has nasty smell, some people can't stand it, but I love the taste so much (it's the yellow part of it..don't eat the whole thing..haha). It's for any time of the day, u know, fruits. But it can be made into lots of different dishes. I'll try to get more info. And that's not a plate...it's a big round tray (we have a name for it, but I'm not sure what to call it in English), used to carry plates of dishes on it for serving. I'm not sure about entering the food challenge just yet. The rambutan...the pretty one...sweet & juicy. So, u know pineapple. U r right, the cempedak is as big as watermelon (I shud've taken the pictures without the skin, like I did with durian); it's sweet, juicy & creamy. Can fry it like banana fritters. The snake skin fruit, not quite like pineapple, much smaller in size, taste sweet sour & crispy. Thanks again for your interest. Have a good day.
