Hi Jade, Glad you got a laugh out of Lola's "bath time." She never grooms herself and I take her to the groomer to have it done. I'm no dummy. This truly was a rare occassion. Take care, Gloria

Thanks for visiting my turkey torpedo. That was a lucky unusual shot. I was really trying for a full in flight but I had an itchy trigger finger on the camera. I could tell he was getting ready to take off and was trying to time it. Digital has slow second shot. I need a DSLR... Jim

Hello Jade, Thanks for stopping by, and for your nice comments! I'm busy with some home renovations in preparation for Joke's visit in a few weeks! It's her first trip to the US, and I'm excited to show her California, and see the photographs she takes! Hope all is well, and I hope to visit more this summer! Take care, Johnny:)

Hi, Jade, sorry to be so slow. Carhenge was built by a guy who was obsessed with Stonehenge as a tribute to his late father - who as far as I know didn't care about Stonehenge at all! They put the first cars in a field at a family reunion. Alliance hated it and wanted it condemned as an eyesore until they realized it was drawing tourists. Eventually the family donated the 10 acres to the city, and they run it now. Carhenge is an exact copy (but smaller) of the real thing. I doubt if it can predict things, though, since the latitude and longitude are different. I really enjoyed it, it's absurd but fun.

Hi Jade, thank you for viewing my street scene entries and leaving nice comments. The "It Runs on Beer" title was inspired by the beer belly on the person in the photo. :>)

Thank you for finding my Frosty Morning on the Farm photo and making the nice comment. I was just looking at that photo this afternoon, and reminiscing. If it were summer there would be two tractors sitting near the big tank of fuel. There is a pipe running between two trees near that fuel tank. Every time, before I went to the field, I would chin myself, and then go up and over the bar, trying not to touch it with anything but my hands. There used to be a sack of corn hanging from a tree branch to the right of the tank, and I would get up on the tank and swing down using it for a seat. I was standing with my back to the barn when I took the picture. No, I wasn't that young, 53 is the year of my high school graduation. I was 16 when I graduated in 1953. That makes me 71, dang it.

Thank you Jade for your nice message about my Sunrise Eastermorning. Yes it was snowing that night...Johan lives in another part of the Netherlands, he made this shot special for me. In my area was more snow that morning, than where he lives. Thats the reason you dont see much snow on his early sunset photo. Wish you a great week. Bye...Ien

Hi Jade: I saw the "Landscape Arch" section fall on video (either on PBS or another cable channel). My memory is not as good as it could be ... after all it "was" 34 years ago ;-) ... but I seem to remember signs warning not to approach (or climb-on) the arch. ... I did walk out on one of the "Natural Bridges" ... but only a "little ways". See a photo from the top in my "American West" album. Marv (BerryMan)

Hi Jade, I just popped by to answer your Q...What unusual color! Is that part of the antiquing? On my eyes entry, I used my Adobe photoshop and applied poster edges to enhance the outline of the eyes. I just wanted to see what folks thought of the effect..What I will share with you is that I have glaucoma, which means I have to take eye drops morning and night, which I have had for over 15 years now. Over the years it has changed the color of my eyes. But it also makes my hair grow very quickly, which includes my eyebrows and eye lashes. Consequently I have to cut my hair every 2 weeks, or I look like a sheepdog, lol...Thanks for your interest Jade, take care now, Larry.

Thank you so much for the kind comment on my hummingbird photo that I entered in the "eyes" challenge. Yes, sometimes the hummers let me get very close and other times they are terribly shy. Hope you have a great day. Regina/California

Thanks for your comment on my wirework, however, to answer your question . . . no, I did not make the focal piece you commented on; it is just a pretty enameled button I'd purchased and incorporated into the wirework. :)

Hiiii Jade!! Thanks for taking that walk with me up at Blue Knob!! So glad you enjoyed!! And yes, I was just walking. Richard got snowshoes for me for Christmas but I'm not very sure-footed on them yet ... and as to skiing, after the broken wrist and messed up shoulder from last year ... not sure if I'll be doing that again!!! So, I walk!! Thanks again for dropping by, hon!!! Hugs ... Lois

Thank you for you cute comment, "Oh how sweet these look! I hope the deer don't eat them." about my Marigolds for the Garden. I only wish I could see a deer in the backyard some day.

I live in the middle of an 8,000 acre gated community in the wooded mountains of north Georgia with security on the gate and our own security patroling. No hunting is allowed. When I first moved here in 2003 if you creaked the door and a deer or turkey was out there, they took off fast. I used to go out and set up a camo blind to sit in. Then I slowly let them see me and made no sudden moves. Over time they have completely accepted me and my wife. I cannot take anyone else with us or they take off. It is really neat to be amongst them and enjoy them. Check out my videos on white tail deer to see what they do Not the best vido because I used my still camera. They used some on Webshots Reel... Thank you for visiting my turkey walk. I was actualy 20' away at the most. I can walk along and stay with them. I have had them within 4' of me and been in the woods chain sawing trees and seen them and waked right up to them. They know they do not get hunted and are completely used to me. I hope to see them again today in a sunny part of the woods. If so, I will add to this album... Jim
