Hello Jade dear!! I'm so thrilled you had a chance to visit my latest autumn leaf album ... I went a little crazy with so many autumn albums, but oh well!! I have another album about ready to upload ... the first snow fall up in the mountains was 2 weeks ago ... and there were still colored leaves on the trees. The effect was, to me, pretty cool!! I'm still deciding which to put up and which not ... tough decisions! I hear ya on the question of one album or two. I wonder sometimes if some people, looking at the albums and seeing a LOT of photos in one place, don't automatically head to the smaller ones. So maybe two would be good instead of one?? I'm never sure. I'm probably heading up to the mountain tomorrow am to get ready for Thanksgiving. No internet there ... then when I get home, I'll have to get ready for the hospital ... getting my shoulder operated on next Tuesday ... not sure when I'll be back online. So until I see you again, take care and enjoy the holidays!!! hugs ... Lois

Hiiiiii Jade!!! Many thanks for your comments on my challenge entries!! I'm so glad you were intrigued by the snail tracks, too!! I fear Dear Hubby thought I'd lost my mind not only taking those photos, but entering them in this week's challenge for all the world to see!!! The angle of the sun was just perfect that afternoon ... when I went out to get the mail, my intention was to admire my lovely posies that I'd JUST PLANTED the DAY BEFORE ... the glisten of the snail tracks was a horrifying surprise! But then, I kinda liked it!!! So glad you did too!!! Have a great Thanksgiving ... I hope all those who are near and dear to you are right at your side!! Hugs ... Lois

Hi Jade: Thanks for your comment. The snow we had in Denver was in October following the Baseball World Series. The leaves were still on the trees and I had to knock snow from the branches that were sagging down. This happens almost every year in Denver. ... Then it warmed up, the trees "turned", lost their leaves, etc. When I saw this challenge I didn't think there were outdoor flowers this late but last week, 2 blocks away, I even found bees on a neighbor's outdoor flowers! The "Yellow" flowers photo was taken the same day at a "Good Times" drive-in. Marv (BerryMan)

I'll tell you a little secret.....I think she knew she wasn't supposed to be there (on the church keyboard) and was cautious at first. I jsut hope that interest is still there when she is old enough for lessons. Carol

HelloooOOoooo Jade dear!!! Thanks so much for stopping by my challenge entries!! So glad you enjoyed them ...don't worry about Sadie and her fluffiness in summertime ... she's in comfortable air conditioning 95% of the time ... although I will admit that when I snapped that particular photo, she did look like she was in need of a good brushing!!! Ahhhh well, such is the nature of the candid photo!!! (heh heh ... sounds like a good excuse to meeeee!!) Best regards ... Lois

Hi, Jade - Travertine is like a supercharged version of the lime deposits you get when you have hard water. It can build deposits of up to two feet a year, but it's fragile. That mound could have formed in a few years. Thanks for stopping and commenting- Chris

Hi Jade, Thanks for the comment on my moon. Believe it or not - I took about 37 shots that night and tried every possible setting on the camera. Then I finally ended up with that one. I'm still trying to improve night shots. Thanks for sharing your photos! Lori

Hi Jade..The Pink-K shot was actually the first photo in my Flowers-1-2006 album, "Feathery painted tulip." So glad you like the Kaleidoscope shots, it's great fun to play around with the Paint shop program and see what pretty things I can come up with. Thanks for your comments, it's so nice to know that others enjoy my efforts. I did not enter my WW shot of buttons on the WW page, just put it into the album. The little turtles were used by me too on a childs sweater I made some years ago for my grand daughter. TTFN...Fay

I appreciated your kind words on my Weekend Warrior picture. They are fun to do when I have the time or the right occasion to take the photograph. I thought I had some nice photos for the Scary Challenge, but alas, wasn't chosen as a winner. The winning photos were very good. Thanks again, Richard

Hi Jade thanks for looking at my entries for this week. Actually, the stone in the "Bears on Bloor Street" is a light beige sort of colour.

Hi, Thank you for your comments on my pictures. To answer you question. To 'shoot' the ghost was easy. The trick was to see the possibility. First I was angry with these reflections in the TV of my friends, Than I saw the 'ghosts'. I was waiting till something usable came up. Than it is the timing. I found out if there is something interesting just shooting several pictures and sorting them out later works best. Look in my Greeting Cards. The 'Magician' is the same technique. By the way any reflection especially broken on uneven surface has the possibility of 'ghosts' Happy Halloween, Heidi

Jade, Thank you for all the wonderful comments on my Small Things (macro) album. Patience is a must when dealing with butterflies and dragonflies. You learn to make very small movements to get close. You will also notice that most of the shots are at 200mm. Makes it easier to get good shots at a distance. Thanks again - Tim
