Dear Sam, thank you for your visit to my spring garden album - I always love to get your comments! The little cyclamens (I think!) only flower in late winter/early spring, but they flower quite a long time. I had a lovely little sprinkling of them picturesquely arranged beneath a conifer, then the cat decided to lay under said tree in the shade every day and killed 'em. Now I only keep them in pots. Re the beetle - think you might be right, must be Ringo. If you could have seen how drunkenly he walked (and fell over onto his back several times), you might have mistaken him for a Rolling Stone though. Probably Keith Richards. ;) Wishing you a great week, Jane.

Hi, Sam, Many thanks for your visits and kind comments on my "color contrast" pictures and the album on Sully-sur-Loire and Gien, along the Loire River! The picture-book chateau at Sully was placed in such a beautiful setting that it would have been hard to take really bad pictures, especially on a lovely day -- To answer your question: unfortunately, we did not have time to visit inside the chateau. We had such a short time in France and tried to pack in so many things to see that we had to skip a lot. From what I had read, the interior would also have been well worth exploring. Anyway, I hope that you and your family are enjoying a splendid Labor Day holiday together! All the best, Rebecca

Hi Sam! I saw all of your comments on my photos - thank you! I'm glad you enjoyed them. I haven't been taking as many photos as usual this summer, but I've enjoyed what I have taken. For years I've had an eye disease that has prevented me from seeing well. Since April I have had four eye surgeries (cataract followed by cornea tranplant in each eye), with the last being last week. I am really going to start enjoying my birds and all of the wildlife around here now because once my eyes heal I will have "normal" vision again. They do one eye at a time, and since the right eye was done the end of April and beginning of May, my vision in that eye is better than it's been in 20-30 years. I can also better see which photos are decent and which are not. I see some of my older photos now and cringe at the poor quality of some of them. I will be a whole lot more selective in the months to come. I hope you are having a terrific summer! Maureen

WOW, 90 hanging baskets! Must be a big porch! No wonder lots of hummers. We have visited about half of the Indiana covered bridges over the years, including the time we lived in Indianapolis. Next year will be a full state visit, to get the rest of them. Some we have visited never made it to WebShots. If health holds up, we will do that next spring.

Dear Sam, thanks so much for your recent visit to my latest quilt album - some of those ladies are sooooo good! Most are made from pre-made patterns either bought as a whole pattern or out of a magazine or book. Some of us make them up ourselves. I always have to make my own up because I can't follow other people's patterns - I have to make my own to make any sense of them (use the wrong side of brain or something?). I decided I would take a leaf out of your book and put a quote on my profile tonight. But here is one I found for you! " Golf is a game whose aim is to hit a very small ball into a even smaller hole, with weapons singularly ill-designed for the purpose." - Winston Churchill ;)) p.s. I like your profile pic - is that your grandson? He's a cute little blondie! Warm wishes from Jane.

Hi, I'm glad you liked my hummingbird collection. These critters are too hard to shoot, especially in flight, but I'm hoping against hope I could some day arm myself with enough patience to capture one. Thanks for your nice comments. Warmest greetings from Havana.

Thanks so much for the kind comment on my hummingbird POTD - it's deeply appreciated! These little birds are among my favourite subjects, and I feel honoured that one was chosen to be featured on the homepage - first time for me! ~ Brenda

Hello Sam! I loved reading your comments on my "Kansas City Airshow 2009" album! The Roswell comment got a good chuckle out of me...and then again, I've always wondered if it was a cover up of technology on our part!! Something to think about! That loopty loop stuff kinda got to me too! How can a person "throw up" if they are upside down? Another thing to think about...hehe! Thxx for your fun comments! Your visits are always welcome! Have a great week in what ever you set out to do! Deb

Wow, Sam, thanks for all the help with my new classic car album. I am without a trace of a clue when it comes to vehicles - I only know which ones I like. Someday I hope to have every car captioned correctly! I wish for you some very great golf shots this summer!!! - DeeAnne
