Hi! Thank you for your visit and your lovely comments on my "Australia Rock" & "Rainbow Lorikeet" photos I appreciate it very much!... that photo (Rainbow Lorikeet) was taken while on holidays in Narooma (About 400 or so km from Sydney) they were everywhere usually begging for food! Where I live sometimes we get to see some Galahs, Sulpur-crested Cockatoo, and everyday lots of Corellas (very noise they are too!).... Have a lovely day! Evita :D

Hello dear Sam!!! Glad you enjoyed "A Little Bit Country" ... most of those pics have been sitting in my computer for ages ... finally got a few shots last weekend that I thought were strong enough to anchor an album, so up they all finally went!! Thanks so much for visiting and for leaving your lovely compliment!!! You're so good to meeee!!! Enjoy the rest of your weekend!! Best regards, Lois

Hi Sam ... thanks so much for visiting with me and my "Feathered Friends" ... you're probably right about the redwinged blackbird ... he was doing quite a bit of fussing ... and I got off sooo many shots of both the male and female. I remember being very surprised that they didn't just fly away!! I didn't even think about being too close to their nest ... I guess I'm lucky I didn't get dive bombed, too!! I've had that happen with mockingbirds, though ... they can be serious!!! Thanks again for dropping by and for your lovely notes!!! Best regards ... Lois

Hi Sam, thanks so much for your message on my "Going Batty" album. Most bats do not live on nectar, but rather on insects. These particular bats are unique in that they are primarily nectar feeders, thus the reason they come to hummingbird feeders. They are found only in a small portion of the US southwest. Greetings from southern Arizona (also a great place for golf!) Carole

By the way, the desert hasn't started really blooming flowers yet, but it surely is green! I'm so glad you like 'Bend in the River'. That was one of my favorite places to take photos. About 900 acres burned in there early this spring, so the vegetation landscape through there has dramatically changed. Charlotte

Hi Sam, yes, that photo at http://community.webshots.com/photo/2829536780030894601NCwBbt is part of the 500-year Storm of 2006. That is on the high mesa in Dona Ana County, NM back of northwestern El Paso. You can see more of the results of this storm in my album on Storm 2006 located at http://news.webshots.com/album/552789937CZXBlG -Charlotte

Hi Sam, thanks for the comments on my bridge pictures! And for visiting them. We enjoy traveling and taking their pictures. I enjoy the history behind them when I can get it. I get frequent updates from viewers. I didn't know about the Bridgeton bridge and it's rebuild. As to small bridges. there is an increasing number of private small bridges being built or restored. We are leaving August 3 for a trip into Michigan for bridges and lighthouses. I especiall like your humming birds.I haven't seen any in out year this year. Keep up the great pictures in your albums, I enjoy looking at them. waltdaniels@hotmail.com

Hi Sam. I had to chuckle at your comments about "bridges in the desert". Yeah, and sometimes even bridges aren't enough! You can get an idea of what condition roads get in during the rainy season by viewing my latest album at http://sports.webshots.com/album/564173542XziwZL These were taken just a couple weeks ago. Our rainy season is on right now. My album on Storm 2006 shows many scenes of our 500-year storm. You simply cannot imagine the damage and destruction here as a result of that storm in the desert. Greetings. Thanks for the comment on the picture of the covered bridge in Moscow, IN. The unfortunate thing about it is that that bridge was destroyed by a tornado (along with most of the town) earlier this year.
