Today is a really sad day for me. Many of my photos have been "taken out" (stolen?) from my albums. Has Webshots been attacked by a malicious virus? And this is the second time this has happened, and I still haven't replaced the "stolen" photos from my early albums. And now ... this again? I feel so offended, even helpless, by this situation. It will take me a great deal of time & effort to locate those photos from my huge collection storage, and then re-upload them to Webshots. Not easy for one who works a full-time job in the office. (Sigh!) I am no longer sure if I want to continue on posting my photos here in Webshots - and only to lose them. I am very sad. Very sad indeed!

Hola my friend, Sorry it took so long to get back to you, It's been a busy month. It's not over yet. Next month My Father is granting a wish of mine since I became a photographer, I'm going on a mission trip with a bunch of medical personnel to Dominican Republic for 2 weeks. I get to go as a photographer. That is my life time dream! This group just started doing trips to the Philippines I'm going to save up for that one so someday I can participate in that one as well. Medical Ministries Internation. I'm so excited.

Hi, Mary Ann. I just want you to know that I managed to label quite a good deal of the pictures in my "Flowers & Plants" collection and I owe it all to you and other WS members who have chipped in their own contributions. However, you bore the brunt of that fantastic effort. Come back one of these days and take a look. You get the credit for that, my friend, and so I put it in the caption. Warmest regards from your friend in Havana.

Hi, Mary Ann. It doesn't matter if you can't label this mushroom. No big deal. It's just an ordinary, non-edible mushroom that grows on the dead bark of an old mastic tree trunk. I just took this shot by setting the camera to supermacro mode and bringing the lens very close to the mushroom. I also set the camera to "P" (program) mode to avoid having to manually set ISO, aperture and exposure parameters. Hope this info could be helpful to you. And thanks for coming back so soon with the majagua information. Very enlightening. Take care, my dear friend, and stay in touch.

Dear Mary Ann. I'n sending you the links to two new pictures I included in my "Flowers" collection. I'd like you to take a look at them. The yellow flower is from a majagua tree, quite abundant in Cuba, while the little mushroom (it's captured in macro) was just growing in the bark of a mastic tree. Let me know your opinion and their real names if possible. It's good to stay in touch with you, my friend. Mary you asked how I choose my name Spiritwhitewolf. Spiritwolf was already chosen. I have a great respect for this countries native Americans. After coming to this country as a young child my family lived very near a tribe where I learn a great deal about their ways and beliefs. As with so much of my journey there is much more to this story, but I think that you get the ideal. Hey, it could have been a Negrito name as I spent a great deal of time with them when I was in the islands : ) Jean aka Spiritwhitewolf

My dear Mary Ann. Thanks si much for the lengthy visit you paid to my flower album and the nice, interesting and enlightening comments you left. You're not a "professional" botanist, but you definitely delve into things olike few people do. Your tagging each and every one of my pictures has actually swept me off my feet. I'm amazed! I should now take the time to rename all my photos based on the information you've provided me (and the entire WS community) with. Please, Mary Ann, feel free to do this whenever you want. I truly appreciate this very much. Take care, my friend, and keep your good pictures and your knowledge coming in! Warmest regards from Havana. Jorge
