Dearest Mary Ann.....I am thirlled you were able to enjoy so much my album of Apple blossoms. I bet they would grow in your country...your weather cannot be much more different than ours here in Texas....Hot hot hot hot, muggy and very humid...sometimes it's so humid you can cut the air with a knife. Maybe you can plant one of these there and watch it grow. Who knows you can start a trend or something...anyway, thanks for the visit and I am elated you were able to enjoy this album with emmense pleasure. Hugs, Kelli

Dear Mary Ann, It is funny, reading your profile, I discovered that your job to-day and mine before were the same; I made it first in hardware installations of large systems inside a team and/or survey (I was responsible of St Gobain site) and then converted to software and became lone engineer to help grand customers in sometimes heavy and complex conversions to adapt their existing applications to the new machines and continue to follow them in their developments; I had near one hundred with among them some famous as Lancel and Simone Perele in fashion, all others being in large distribution or industrials); Then I turned to marketing and Partners management; 54 is not our only secret, this is another one! With my best thoughts, Jacques

Mary Ann, it's my pleasure to be your friend and I'm glad you view my generous comments especially on Golden Shower Blooms. Believe or not, my friend, I have one tree planted near my father's house, 15 years back (during my hi-school student days). Now, my father keeps on trimming it and it brings beautiful flowers abundantly. Unfortunately, for many years I was not able to view it personally because I'm working abroad and when vacation comes (usually Dec), flowers are already gone. Huhuh... Glad to be your friend, Marlon

Dear Mary Ann, You have been inserted to-day in my pfjc album 'Tribute to my Webshots Friends'; The work was very difficult as I found only the little picture of your profile getting very unprecise when enlarged for this purpose (many corrections needed but perhaps unwanted by Yourself); If You don't want to appear there with this photo, tell it to me, it is no problem or send me a larger picture; With my always best thoughts, Jacques

Mary Ann, Thanks for your nice comments on my Firenze Sculpture album. I thought you took a pass on the album so I never asked. I’m glad you enjoyed it. The sculptures are large. They are all displayed in the Florentine plaza with an overhead cover except for David which was shown near the Uffizi Gallery. David was the only sculpture that was created by Michelangelo in the album. David was nearing his 500th anniversary and the Italian museum curators in Florence have conducted studies on how best to clean him. That is the reason behind the scaffoldings. I took this picture in Nov 2002 and the 500th anniversary was in 2004. David is actually housed inside the Galleria Dell' Academia. Michelangelo’s work signified that he is the greatest living sculptor during his time. Now you know the rest of the story. God Bless, Ding

Mary Ann, Forgive me for filling up your inbox here. Thanks for revisiting my ST Peter's album. That pope in the glass coffin is Giovanni Maria Mastai-Ferretti, also known as Pope Pius IX. I am quoting Wikipedia here, "He adopted the dogma of the Immaculate conception and organized the first Vatican Council that signified papal infallibility". Placing him in a glass coffin is a step towards beatification and later, sainthood. Since my visit in early 2002, another pope, Pope John XXIII was also placed in a glass coffin across him and that signifies the same process. God Bless, Ding

Mary Ann, Thanks for visiting my Hotel del Coronado album. I like your comment, "The streak of the ailing sunset heaves its last breath as the sea waves reflect the dying splendor." A perfect description for the sunset. I also remember my philosophy teacher go, "Just as sure as the sun sets tonight, it will shine again tomorrow". Life is good. God Bless, Ding

Mary Ann, thanks for visiting my flower flowers album and letting me know the name of the white flower of your country. It was not quite in focus, but oh well, it was still beautiful. Hope you are doing well. I 'll stop by over the weekend to see if you have anything new. Hugs, Kelli

Mary Ann, Thanks for visiting the Japanese Friendship garden. You figured out the two cameras I was using before I could tell you. I used the Samsung for the Macro because the results are a lot better than any of my other cameras. I use the Nikon D1 for the other shots because it is much more versatile. Your words of encouragement helps a lot. I thought you would enjoy the Friendship Garden so I would like to dedicate that to you. God Bless, Ding

Mary Ann, Thanks for visiting my Orange Ave, Coronado album. Coronado has a long history of Navy tradition. I have marked 3, 6 and 8 mile jogging routes there and I never get tired of the scenery. The weather is perfect all year round, much like living in Baguio. It never gets too hot nor too cold and there's absolutely very low humidity. God Bless, Ding

Dear Mary Ann! I’m glad you visited your Valentine’s gift, January Bloom. It started out with a few pics but I keep finding new flowers sprouting out. I don’t know diddly about flowers but after a few trips to the local nursery, various Google searches and lots of your help, I think we got 99% of the names. I’ve also started appreciating how beautiful they really are, specially the fuchsia flower. It’s an honor that you select the velvety rose as your 2008 Valentine’s gift. It is a little early for that but I will make a mental (not so dependable) and an electronic note (better). You’ll break my heart if you forget to use it next year. Thanks for visiting my samot sari album where I posted some family pictures for you to see. God Bless, Ding P.S Your first note will still apply when I post my Vatican album. P.P.S. Me, Enteng, hmmmnn, you’re killing me. I will post his last golf trip to SD, then you make the call

Hi Ruby! Glad of you to drop by my album about Unisan. I tried posting in your message center but no one can post there except yourself. You may want to change the settings inside your "Account" tab and going into another sub-account tab called "My Options" - so you could enable the option for others to write in your message center. Now as to why I entitled the shot "Faded Glory": the house is beautifully constructed typical of most old Spanish home architecture. Normally, 2-storey floors, wide open windows, intricate wooden balusters or ornate woodwork just below and above the window line, canopied window awning with intricate lace-like designs at the fringes, etc. My own grandparents owned such one. We don't see this kind of home dwellings being built anymore in the cities, even in the provinces as most OFWs construct their homes similar to homes of the country of their employ - mostly mediterannean, victorian or modern country type of architecture. So to chance upon such old Spanish-type homes in my travel to South Luzon is a wonderful happenstance and sheer delight for me. Happily, Unisan still has these Spanish homes - which has brought me back to wonderful memories with my grandparents. Thus, "Faded Glory"! ~~~Mary Ann
