Hello Mary Ann. Sorry for my delayed response. I haven't been able to visit our website for quite a long time because of the many problems that came my way these past months. I'm still trying to solve some of them. Yes, I really enjoy viewing your photos, and I hope too that we will meet in person. You can e-mail me at charsaldebaran@yahoo.com. This is all for now. I still don't have much time to look around and upload. But I will try to make time for them. Best regards.-Charlene

Dear Mary Ann, Thank you for visiting my San Diego fishing album where I took shots of the sunrise as our boat left before sunbreak. The high clouds provided sharp contrast with the sun breaking out of the eastern mountains. Indeed, my fishing trips have been bountiful as I catch the unimpeded sunrise and sunset that come with the experience. Your encouraging and heartwarming remarks are deeply appreciated my dearest friend. God bless, Ding

Thanks, Mary Ann, for your good wishes for my sites and for relating how you started in photography. Lbobis is right, you've a golden heart. Just like Lbobis, I also feel strongly about crediting works to their creators, and against exhibiting others' works as one's own. If Ms. Ligaocity is so into other things of this world that she hasn't read about infringement, then maybe Lbobis or I can email her one of these days (???). But really, Mary Ann, I admire how you reacted to it. Wow! Such a strong decision to choose to focus and dwell on the good things in life. Mary Ann, thanks for wanting to visit my sites. It would be an honor. I'd just want to say that they're still new and not yet promoted. The plugin that I'm using to display your photos by twos is Picasa-enabled (as I couldn't find a webshots plugin), so the photos are not linking directly to webshots.com. But I have the proper credits and links at the footer and inside picasaweb. I've found another plugin that can show captions and I hope I can install it very soon so that I could put info and credits properly. And yes, you're right, Naya is my web name. I have to hide behind it because I'll be writing about some of my failures that might embarrass my family but could help other people. Thanks again Mary Ann, and may the Lord continue to pour His blessings on you.

Oh how nice of you Mary Ann, you have a golden heart. I just didn't seem it right to see some people feels it their priviledge to steal photos from one site and post it as their own in another site. I've been reading some copyright infringement case in the Philippines and the last was the one of Anton Sheker VS MB, I think you know about it already. Take care & God bless you as well. My friends call me Guy.

Dear Lbobis (may I know your first name?), I deeply appreciate you watching out for my interest as regards some person's utter disregard on copyright as regards my photos. Little does the lady culprit realize that her infringement activities will eventually backfire and injure her reputation. That said, I choose to NOT act &, thus, allow her to go her merry way, however misguided that may be :-). Now I see who my friends are! Oh, I'm so glad you're one of them! So now I choose to dwell on this thought. God bless you in many delightful ways! ~~~Mary Ann

Dear Mary Ann, I really loved your photos and I've been coming back since I stumbled upon your site on Google a few years ago. I've also commented on some of them. Recently, I was so disappointed when I saw some of your photos on this website http://www.gobicol.com/Ligaocity/index.cfm?action=groups.gallery.list&album_id=3007§ion=group&group_id=120 When I saw the photos in the above link, I knew right away where I first saw them. I looked for some reference that it was from your page but I didn't see any and the photos were marked. I hope you are aware of this. Have a nice day.

Thanks so much, Maryan, for responding and for generously offering your photos. So sweet of you to call me friend. I'm so flattered. Come to think of it, you're my first online friend! I've not used Friendster, MySpace or any other social network out there, so I haven't had a web friend before you. Thanks, my friend. Reading from the many other comments here, you really get a lot of support. They're so sweet to you and they really use words that reflect their deep admiration for you as a person and as a photographer. I've discovered you and your outstanding photos in August this year when I was looking for freely available philippine photos to lend color to my site, which is about/for working pinoys, and almost every photo that I clicked and liked belong to one person, and that's you. So I started opening your albums, and wow, they're so great. In some pinoy sites that I passed by chance, I also saw your U.P. photos in large versions, and I'm glad that they credited you in the captions. And one thing also that attracted my attention is your favorite poem..."I meant to do..." Reading it transports me to an idyllic place...the barrio of my childhood, where I was free to roam the fields. Maryan, thanks, thanks!

Hello again, Maryan. (I say again because I've commented on some of your pictures individually in the past.) Thank you for posting your photos that touch the heart, arouse pleasant feelings and evoke memories of the good old days. Wow! You have lots and lots of outstanding photos. I like so much your landscape pics; they're so inviting. But I also like the way you compose urban pics, such as the Ayala and U.P. pics. Your Feb 2007 shot of 6750 Ayala, with the blue and white sky is so good! And your 2006 shot of Mayon, wow! And the flowers and the greens! I could go on and on. You're blessed because you have had the time and resources to go to all these wonderful places in our country. May I also take this chance to say that I've downloaded the thumbnail version of several of your photos to give life to my new sites' Pinoy landscape corner, with proper credits to you and to webshots in the footer (and should also be in the captions, but the picasa plugins are not working yet). The sites aren't complete yet, but when you have time in the months ahead, perhaps you can take a peek at workingpinoy.com and wefallwerise.com. Wish you more blessings and more power. And more opportunities for travel.

Dear Mary Ann, thanks again for the time spent viewing my album 'Sunset in September' and for your generous words of compliment. That place is very special to me, thus, I always go there whenever I have time to spare and especially when I need to de-stress. Those kids added to the relaxing mood of the sunset...they brought back childhood memmories. Warm wishes, my friend. ~ Marilyn

Dear Mary Ann, thanks again for visiting my bromeliad album and for taking the time to leave generous comments there. I learn a lot from your visits and I try to adapt your comments for my future shots. I remember that bromeliads are aplenty and so beautiful during my last visit to the Philippines so I visited that flower society’s show in San Diego and I am glad I did. And knowing you are a flower lover, may I quote Oliver Handell Holmes, “The Amen of nature is always a flower.” Have a great day, Mary Ann! Regards, Ding

My dear friend, Mary Ann, the smile of a child is of the things more beautiful than the life can offer us, but also there are very beautiful all the smiles that are born of a good, tender, kind and generous heart. Sometimes, when I surprise the smile relaxed about these few persons who contemplate with delight the happiness of others, it touch me. And the fact is that, there is nothing more beautiful than the love that is born spontaneously of a good heart. You, undoubtedly, can be a person as that I have described. His heart always betrays her, my dear friend, and that is good, very good. God bless you, my dear Mary Ann.

Dear Mary Ann, thanks for visiting my Star of India album and for leaving generous comments there. I really appreciate that. I find myself pointing my camera upward for most of the shots. Fortunately, the clear blue skies make good backdrop for the pictures. The Star of India is San Diego’s own and yes, its interior is decorated with the old charm finish of fine mahogany wood. Have a great day and warm blessings. Ding

Hi Mary Ann! Thanks for visiting my SD Festival of Sails album. San Diego Bays is bustling with traffic of U.S. Navy ships, recreational power boats and sail boats so you can just imagine my excitement when tall sails are mixed among this crowd. Walking aboard the tall ships also reminded me of the Galleon ships the Spaniards used to sail to the Philippines in the 1500's. Shipboard life can be tough aboard modern ships let alone on tall ships that were built in the 1500's that have very little amenities. Have a great day, Mary Ann. Regards, Ding

Dear Mary Ann, I feel so happy to have received a prompt answer to my request; So I am now able to write You from outside the Webshots; I have copied your message under Microsoft Word and have deleted the WS one to preserve your privacy adn not let your E-mail exposed to spams; The ceremonies with the Pope in Paris and in Lourdes have been grandiose and attended by millions; The messages delivered by our President and the speeches of the Pontife mostly on faith, culture and environment protection, entirely in a perfect French, are of great hope and brought tears in my eyes; Have You seen something of that in Philippines? I have learned by this occasion with pleasure that my loved Virgin Mary appeared to the little sheperd Bernadette for the first time in France my Country just on my birthday the 2 of March, in 1858 150 years ago; I shall write You more extensively when I will have more informations about this trip now probable as a wished destination but not already built and selected in a special Tour Operator, with love, Jacques; Pierre thanks You also deeply!

Hi, I've been browsing some of you albums. You do some really nice work. One of the best things about sharing photos on WS is that you can tour the world from your desk. The PI is a beautiful place. I'll be back to visit again. Have a wonderful day - Dave

Dear Mary Ann, thanks for visiting "My quiet place" album that is graced by Pania's lovely poem and leaving nice comments there. I find myself going to the nearby Azalea garden in Norfolk, Virginia whenever I am in town because of the quiet and solitude the place offers me. I would walk around, camera in tow and watch the birds and the peaceful surrounding. Just like you described accurately, the tidewaters around the park soothes my soul and Psalm 23 is a perfect match. As I leave you with this thought, may I quote, "Peace I leave with you, My peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you". (John 14:27). Have a great day, my friend.
