Hi Clark. Thanks for all of your very generous comments this afternoon. It was well worth the wait. I am still working on about five more albums but will post them slowly. It was a good trip, I only wish we had had more time to take it more slowly instead of being in a rush most of the time. Didn't even dig out my tripod. Every shot was a handheld. Oh well, maybe next time!! Thanks again friend. Marion

Hi Clark, thanks for all the O'ahu tips, I've already decided to have my Birthday at the Paradise Cove and partake in the festivities offered and the Luau. I really do thank you for the advice and information on what's going on in November. I will only have a week there, and I'm going to try and do all that I can while there. You live in beauty and I hope to take a piece of it away with me in my heart and revisit it often in my memories and pictures. I will write back when I get the pics uploaded to webshots so you can review, if you'd like.

Sorry Clark, I didn't mean to repeat myself. I had put the PS message under your new photo and thought it inappropriate, so cut it and decided to post it here and then you know, went and did another message and thought all I was pasting in was the link.. ....old age setting in, that is what it is ;D. Take care.....Marion

I knew that I had given you an invitation to view my Oregon Sunsets & Hecata Lighthouse album and beings I was just in your neighbourhood, it's time for you to come and have a quick visit in mine. No, they are not as spectacular as what you get in Hawaii, but they are a close second. Take care and I will be looking for you. Here's the link again. PS, weren't you supposed to come and see my latest album Oregon Sunsets & Hecata Lighthouse? I thought I sent you an invitation. Here's the link again http://travel.webshots.com/album/560858497mxWMJf

Clark, Nice to hear from you. Appreciate your comments on our website. As you know, I was at Pearl Harbor for many years. I was the first editor of Hawaii Navy News and kept that position for 22 years. I have many fond memories of my years at Pearl. We're still in South Korea and may stay another year or so before returning to our home in Haleiwa. Glad to see you're enjoying Hawaii. My e-mail address is: aloha.frank@mac.com Hope to hear from you again. Frank & Dhora

I am going to be in Oahu in mid-November 2007, and was wondering if you had any "local" guidance on what a first-time visitor to Oahu "must" see or even what is the best Luau place, I want to go to a Luau for my birthday while I'm there and want it to be a really good one... I've heard not to go to the Visitor Center's luau - even though it is very popular. Any suggestions would be extremely welcomed! Just place a comment on my webshots message board in response to this. Thanks in advance! Gwenn

Hi again Clark; I have just entered a photo in the new challenge for autum colours and thought you might like to come an take a peek. I am feeling certain you won't be seeing the leaves change there in Hawaii. Maybe this photo will bring back memories from your years on the mainland. Hugs, Marjie http://entertainment.webshots.com/photo/2072292000036306757mHRWKy

Hi Clark; Thank you so much for alerting me to Sharon's wonderful sun pillar. I was fascinated by it and actually look it up on the internet to find out more about it. Sharon is probably the most prolific photographer on Webshots. If she isn't out there photographing the skies of Alaska, then she is working on photoshop. She is amazing and I always find something of interest in her albums. Thank you for the heads up. Marjie

Hi Clark, follow'd your link to Sharons photo. I had seen some others (not quite as good) in her skies album & she had kindly given me the technical details when I used one from my Antarctic album in the challenge a few weeks back. Still do not understand the technics of it though! Eric

Thank you so much for your wonderful visit to Spirit of Delight and your notes on Sun Pillar ~ Autumn Sunset over a Permafrost Forest ~ Interior Alaska. I was spellbound by the spectacular beauty as the sun suddenly sent this dazzling bolt of scarlet red light beaming straight up into the night sky!! It was such a miracle when it began manifesting itself, I was spellbound and completely fascinated!! And it lasted for such a long time with the colours constantly shifting!! I took many shots and they all look completely different, I only posted a few of them!! I study the sub-arctic sky of Alaska each day for it is always so amazing, and yesterday the ceiling was low and concave, the entire sky was obscured by fluffy round cottonball clouds. As I was lamenting I would have no sunset photos tonight, around 1800 I saw a brilliant golden glow along the horizon and I fairly leaped into my truck and flew out to the permafrost forest with no time to make it to Chena Lakes for the reflections. Can you imagine if I could have, wow, it would have been a spectacular mirror image in the lake and a double sun pillar! What a visual treat that would have been!! As it is, I am so pleased I was able to capture it, and am so happy you enjoyed seeing it! Sharon

Hi Clark! Thanks so much for your visit to Blue Knob and the Mediterranean and your kind comments!! I heartily encourage you and your wife to take that cruise!!! For me, it was the realization of a dream of a lifetime ... and tinkering with the photos, and having someone come along and comment on them, kind of lets me relive the trip just a little!!! As to not having a dog to join you on your photographic rambles, well, all in good time!!! Thank you again for visiting my humble efforts ... very best regards. Lois
