Hello Anna, Another great album! We had some sunflowers in our garden in Leigh-on-Sea, which were almost as tall as me! I don't know what happened to them when we left. I hope the new owner did not get rid of them. I should have thought to dig them up and put them in shrub tubs and take them with me. Unfortunately the idea did not occur to me until zfter the removal! Thank you very much for sharing. Best wishes, Kathryn

Hi Anna, since my Sunflowers are now up I decided to visit again. Never seen a Corona, beautiful. It seems yours are either at a different stage of growth, or are a different species than mine. Loved the blue bee. What kind is #22? (it has tons of petals) 24 and 27 are perfect. Did you not use your 8700 for this album? I am still waiting for mine, no word yet. Wish they would just give me a new one and get it over with! Oh, and YES, regarding your msg. I WAS blocking my own light! Very perceptive! 8) Take Care, Barb

Hi Anna: Now that my Sunflower album is up I wanted to yours again. Were they not taken with your 8700? I've never seen a Corona, beautiful! It looks as if most or yours are either a different species, or at a different stage of growth than mine? Love the one with the blue bee. Hoi Anna! Decided to drop by your Sunflowers again as I now have my photos ready to put up. It was a 105 degree day when my sister took me to the fields and the sunflowers were feeling it also. Drouppy they were...I guess I'll know if anybody stops by to view them. Still awaiting whatever you put up next! BTW, the BAAADDDD 8700 is leaving for it's 'hospital' today!

Hallo Anna, that being one of the maybe four words I know in your language..I came looking for a new album but I suppose you are out right now still creating them. Thank you for your comments. My two new little albums were taken very suddenly. I went out to plant flowers and ended up photographing them. No, so far I have not used a tripod for the close ups. I am still deleting the photos I so hastily put in that do not belong. Having been offline so long I wanted to get something in but should never be in a hurry. My Nikon and I get along much better when I relax and take time. Also if I have to take fifty photos to get just one I want, that's OK. I came back to study your Sunflowers as I've discovered an endless field of them out where one of my sisters' lives. I doubt they are at any stage as yet for photos. These are for foul weather..it is now thundering loud and lightning, storms coming & going very fast. #3 and 5 I love. #6 the bee is awesome also 14. 22 and 27 and #30 taken sideways perfectly. Did you use your tripod with this album? Take Care, hope to see more soon. Barb

Anna, aren't Sunflowers grand!? Tank's for sharing these beautys that are now of course part of my Webshots scrnsavers. By the way, do you ever use a photo program? Just wondering what the secret is to 'blurring' the background of a photo when the bkgrnd is 'in the way' of a good photo. I'm using ALL your tips, yet cannot get that blur, it came out automatically with my tulip -- problem is I don't know what I did 'right'. Barb

These sunflowers are so bright and cheerful, Anna. They're irresistable. I had to put a few in my screensaver to brighten things up around here. We planted a big patch of them this year too, the first two are blooming today. Maybe I'll be able to coax the grandkids into posing in front of them when they're in full bloom.

Ha Anna, Wat heerlijk om opnieuw verliefd te zijn, al is het maar op je nieuwe camera. Wat zul jij daar beestachtige mooie foto's mee maken. Ik zie er naar uit. Deze zonnebloemenserie is al zo overweldigend mooi. Weet je wat ik het fijne vind van mijn camera: ik hoef niet meer zo zuinig te zijn met een fotorolletje. Als wij een aantal jaren geleden langs een zonnebloemenveld in Frankrijk reden, maakten we hooguit twee foto's. Ik kan me voorstellen ##### het voelt als je batterijen leeg zijn. Anna, what a delight. Your additions are, well, at the moment, most welcomed. Thank you. And, how timely. We are thinking about hopping in the car and evacutating, going west to get away from Isabel. Of course, we have no way of what course it will take, but we are about 2' above mean low tide, so, dear Charlie is trying to clear his calendar so we can be out of here. Trying to plan ahead is hard with a 15+ year old lab, and the internet has not helped a bit. Pet friendly motels? Amazing how many there are, but no dog over 20-30 pounds. I ask you why? Does a dog over 30 lbs. have more fleas, or what? WhenI was young I thought hurricanes were great and exciting and a wonderful excuse for parties. No more. I guess as we grow older we learn that we cannot control anything but our own actions. And, God willing, with his guidance, we take the right course. Again, thanks for the new flowers. Wonderful! I put some pics in my Pet album of our new addition--Daggett--the outside cat that almost died that we adopted. He spent 2 wks. at the vet hospital with a VERY RARE case of flesh-eating mite that were actually eating him alive. You will be able to see where the mites were eating him on the B4 pic. As usual you out do your last... Just a note to advise you that I will no longer use WEBSHOTS as I have recently had some very bad work from their printing division. The printing is not done inhouse they send it out to another company... And, even though they GUARANTEE the work??? You have to go through more than I prefer to... They totally destroyed a picture of our cat COSBY..., poster size, even though when ordered the resolution was checked as okay... When I got it the 16 x 20 was one big blur... Happy Picture taking... Hi Anna. Your sunflowers are beautiful. I love the "washed my wings for you" shot. Now I need to know how you take such good macros with your camera and you say mine is a better camera. I can't get good clear macros with my S50. DPChallenge is at http://www.dpchallenge.com/index.php. Its a website where you enter weekly photo challenges. You learn a lot doing the different assignments. The photo has to be taken within the week of the challenge and it has to fit the theme. Check it out.

Op Webshots staan miljoenen foto's van ronde bloemen die recht voor zijn raap gefotografeerd zijn, maar jij ziet kans er iets heel bijzonders mee te doen. You asked about "Swingtime.& quot; Well that is the name of a kind of Fuscia. We use them here for hanging baskets. They are awesome flowers that love to grow where there is filtered sunshine or shade. It is too sunny where I live now, but that picture I took at a friend's house. Thank you for the kind words. thanks for the kind words. I don`t have many sunflowers in my garden, it was a gift from a passing bird, but I love it. I never thought of getting as close as you have, but I do love the pictures with the bees. I love getting up close to them.

Hi Anna! Lovely flower shots. Thanks for the recent visits made to my bustercrabII collection. To answer your question - no I wasn´t affected from the power problem. My holiday ended on 6th Aug. On 4th Aug it rained for two hrs after lunch, causing a flood! BTW I live in sweden.

Hello Anna, You have captured the essence of the sunflower amazingly well. Angles and composition are great. Do you have Goldfinches where you live? It is a true joy to watch them eat hanging upside down. It so happens that the new, less than ripe sunflower seeds are their favorite food, followed closely by Echinechea seed(Coneflowers). I like flowers of litmuses (sunflowers) a lot ! I have a parrot who has today more than 60 years and that eats seeds of litmuses mainly. Ik vind de foto's schitterend. De contrasten zijn goed en dat is al een hele kunst in deze zonnige zomer. Meestal (bij mij dus) worden die contrasten nogal groot en is een deel van de foto aan de lichte kant, maar hier niet. Complimenten.. overigens.. deze foto's zijn vast niet in Nederland gemaakt.
