Loved the photos and the travel log. I am hoping to go to Macchu Picchu this spring. I just retired from being a school counselor, and do walk quite a bit. I figured the trek was only ten miles or so a day. At three to four miles an hour, that should be an easy trip. Now, I'm rethinking this. I'm the type who thinks "roughing it" means a window unit, rather than central air. Do you realize that you can do most of the trip by train and bus? But I still really want to see Macchu Picchu.
