  • It was so nice to hear from you Jane,i hope everything is ok.i came back to this beautiful and colorful album,i've always been fascinated by these Hot Air Balloon and even try to take pictures a couple of years ago but it was in the afternoon and just too sunny,sometimes cloudy wheather is just what you need.It must have been a wonderful day.Thank you so much for your kind words,looking forward to some new material.Have a great week-end my friend!Luc

  • Hi Jane..I remember the first time I saw this album last year. I was in awe of it because I have not seen balloons yet other than the real estate one and that no longer brings any thrills! :-) This is a great album and I love the photos you added. So many different balloons. Very creative people and creative ideas. I am so glad you were there to see them and take the photos. I love the shot of 17 of them in the air..I think its marvellous and I would love to see them. hugs and love, Barbara

  • Boo Hoo! We really missed a great balloon race here in St. Louis yesterday, but there were around 125,000 to 130,000 people there, so I'm glad I missed it!!!! :-))) I'll just admire your photos some more!!! I can't wait to see your new photos. Hugs, Sharon

  • My favorite balloon is Arky, but you did a super job with all of them. Your photos are always so brilliant. Now as I vaguely remember there is a beautiful lake on the way up to Crater Lake from Medford. I tried to get Sharon to take pics of it while we were flying by it in the car. She doesn't take kindly to taking photos without composing the shot first. I don't understand why. So she usually takes a pic of me driving the car, instead of what I tell her to shoot!!! The Great American Balloon Race is next weekend here in St. Louis, but there is always such a crowd there that we don't go. I'm sure Sharon will contact you a little later. I was going to leave her at the zoo today, but none of the animals would invite her to stay. Just kidding!!!!! Have a great evening and I hope you get to feeling better soon. Bob

  • Hi Jane; I was looking at this album. You did a great job on this one. The balloons are so much fun to photograph. You can't really take a bad one. This next weekend, Sept 5-7, is the 2003 Great Reno Balloon Race. there will be over 120 hot air balloons in the air. Wish you could be here to see it.   • Jane....You told me you were going to see these balloons and soomehow I missed this album. I am glad I came back and looked. This is amazing! Especially if you have not seen anything like this before. Wow, I love the Panda with the landscape background, and I love the ark and all of them. How wonderful to see them all flying overhead!! I get excited if I see the ReMax balloon fly by once a year! :-))) And, thank you for all your wonderful comments in my albums last night. You are a dear friend. hugs and love, Barbara

The colors are so gorgeous and you have captured the whole event for so many of us who never get to see a Hot Air Balloon Rally in person. That was such a special touch.   • Bonjour Jane!This is a great album,beautiful shots of what we call Montgolfieres,i tried my hand at it last year and it turned out as a real disaster;the sun was just too intense,you definitely did the right thing by being there at 6.00 in the morning.A very interesting and special album.Thanks for your visit,about the $1.00 sale i guess i couldn't convey the madness on the street when the saleslady yelled out "For 5 min. everything is a dollar a piece!!" I'm still learning...Have a great day.Luc

  • Jane, The colors of the ballons really sparkle. You've really covered the event by starting with the inflating of the ballons and eventual lift off. When I saw the second Arky (#15) I was overwhelmed when I thought about how much time and effort it must have taken to construct the balloon. The trailer was also impressive. If you hadn't mentioned the two-story house, I wouldn't have noticed it. I also liked the way Bottoms Up (#24) filled the frame of the photo. You must have had your trigger finger at the ready to catch Eye to eye with a critter (#17) as the gondola of another ballon moved into view. I downloaded this one and it looks great on my computer screen. Thanks for making it available. Finally, when I saw Panda! (#28) I wondered how many people could tell you what it was if they didn't know you were shooting at a hot air balloon rally. Glad you liked my Wall Art album. Like you, I scratch my head when I view some of the daily community selections. I was tempted to mention some by name, but thought better of it. I truly believe that this album is worthy of selection. Richard
