    • Photo 56 in the Webshots photos, titled 'Stringy Orange Desert Flower' is actually called 'Yellow Dodder'. It's a parasitic plant as it has no chlorophil to make it's own food, so it attaches itself to other plants and steals the food they manufacture so it can survive. Pretty yes, but it spreads rapidly and can destroy many valuable plants in the process. Great photos! Ron, theplantman

    • It's been awhile since I've visited you and am delighted your Antelope Valley, CA album was chosen as todays feature. Lots of fond memories in this album. Spend many a day out at Edwards for the annual air shows, the last being when Chuck Yager broke the sound barrier for a big anniversary, but I don't remember which it was....that was maybe 10 years ago. Also the aqueduct- my late husband helped build that in the early 70's....My how that area has grown. Your photography is top notch and this album is a wonderful example of what a Feature should be. Congratulations. Lorrie

    • Nev, Thank You for expending a tremendous amount of effort to compile the collections of pictures, which best typify our Valley and Mojave Desert. By far these are the best picture collections I have seen to date of my homeland. When I spent five years having to relocate to the Southern States, I would of given anything to of seen these pictures. I searched the far reaches of the internet looking for pics of my homeland, and was lesser off for not having these great pictures to look at. I also could not believe how many movie scenes I saw on TV and the movie theater with shots of our home which made me homesick. Thanks again you have done a experts job. You have a great idea for what is a great photograph scene.

    • Purple ribbons are starting to pop up all over trees and light posts in the Antelope Valley. The purple ribbons represent the glorious return of Jesus Christ. The second advent of Christ will be the most wonderful event the world has ever experienced. The purple ribbons represent the return of Jesus in the clouds and not on land! This purle ribbon campaign was started in the heavens. A similar purple ribbon campaign was started in Desert Storm which regard our American soldiers for their safety and safe return home. It would be great to implement both the Return of Christ and our American soldiers with the purple ribbon campaign!

    • Hello Nev I have finally got my computer working again. How much did you pay for the new camera? I have had a look here in Germany it would cost 915 euros, the dollar against the euro is 1.24. Have you had a look at my paintings and drawings... Best regards from Germany.

Would you please remove my entry of august 20 of this album, as my 'naked' email adres attracts a lot of spam, and somebody told me this kind of thing causes that. I can find my adress back on this page of yours through Google...Sorry to bother you! Thanks a lot! ... Greetings Anna Oldenhave, the Netherlands
