  • My first visit to the Oasis was sometime in the fifties, my uncles(Rawsons) took me along on one of their cruises in a model T. I was way too young to drink anything other than soft drink. Later I became old enough to drink and stopped in there for a few. Paul Narreau owned it at the time. It was a nice little, quiet place as I remember.

  • I was looking at your pictures of Cooperville NY I am from Rouses Point and spent 22 years in the AF. Being from Rouses Pont ny igot stationed at Plattsburgh af base in 1958 and was there until 1963. so i went thru cooperville twice a day for five years At the bottom of the overpass going to the point was a bar called the OAsis it think andwe would stop there for abeer abd pickled egg afew days a week then it burned down.

  • You do not know who I am. I found your pictures by accident. My grandparents Alphonse & Corinne Bechard lived right near that bridge on The Chazy River.
