  • Gday Again from Australia and thank you for you reply Tiger leaping gorge is in the Yunnan Province not far from Lijang its a beautiful place with almost 4000 metres between top and bottom.   • We actually flew from Beijing to Shenyang, and then took about 12 hrs of train to get there. We went from Shenyang to Jilin one day, and then from Jilin to Harbin the next. The train works, but it is very cold (since its -20 deg F outside!). Its so cold that ice accumulates in the cabin of the train. I honestly don't know how difficult it is to visit Harbin, since we went on a Chinese (Mandarin) speaking tour. I did see many ethnic groups there, so it might be available as an exotic tour package?

  • Gday from Australia I love the Ice sculptures. We have recently been to China and loved it, but in Summer, is it hard to travel to Harbin in winter and are there other places that are good to see and not too hard to get to in China at that time of the year
