A lot of these shots are better than ones they feature in the Gallery--esp. the fireworks. Very nice.

Hi, great pictures. I don't know whether you have ever been to Alocossebre on Spain's East Coast but I find it to be a very beautiful part of the world. Have a look for yourself on http://www.eastcoastspain.com and click the locality andpicture pages to gain a feel for the area. There is a great National Park ideal for walkers, bird watching, flowers and fauna enthusiasts as well as having some breath taking views.

Hi Jane: I was looking at your Night shot album. Great job. It is a whole new ballgame at night, isn't it? It is a lot of fun. If you have a 35 mm camera, try taking star trail pictures. I don't think that you can take them with digital cameras. To take a picture of star trails. you have to have a cable with a cable release on it. set your focus to infinity, set your shutter speed to B (Bulb). That means that as long as your shutter button is pressed, the shutter will stay open and continue to take the picture. Try to center your picture on the North Star. With your cable release, lock your shutter open for at least 30 minutes. You will get real spectacular photos if you leave it open for an hour or 2. Of course, your camera should be on a tripod. If possible, you should be away from city light pollution, and a moonless night. Hope this is a help. Take care. God Bless you! Tom Bourke

Hi Jane! What great fireworks photos. I love the first one! Our attempts at fireworks have been bad! Bob tried taking them out at Mt. Rushmore one time and they were terrible (even with a tripod)! You are so talented and patient! Hope you have a beautiful Sunday and the birds sing and play in the birdbath for you. Lots of hugs! Sharon

Your night shots are getting better. It's not easy shooting the moon unless you have a special camera. The dairy cows are ours. The cowboy is mine. I have a couple of new shots of the Alabama skies you might check out. Thanks. Rita

If you are now still learning, I can't imagine what your night shots will be like when you have learnt! They are beautiful, very subtle and evokative. With a nice touch of humour, too. Regards from Spain. Ersi

Gidday Jane...I have spent the past 2 hours just touring through your gorgoeus pickies...Being a real 'Moonie' sort of person...I have to pick this as my fave album...these shots are just excellent and i have collected each one..just to drool over at my leisure...LOL...my own attempts at 'moon-shots', with my poor old canon T-70 and it's rather pathetic lens, have met with dire disappointment...However. ..I will have another go...just as soon as I can upgrade my equipment....very sooooooon... Regards and best wishes...Gypsy...from Western Australia...^_^

Jane...I think you are doing well. I like 'moonstruck' and 'perfect moon'. Now that guy that is coming out of the building, you may have the only photo of someone that robbed the place...LOL Just kidding! If you tried to get those photos of 'stream clouds' you probably could not do it as well....might takes hours and weeks of practice to photograph something like that, so unique...very good. I enjoyed seeing this album, warm wishes, Barbara http://community.webshots.com/user/midnight_lace

Hi Jane, These latest addtions are fantastic. I love the way you have caught the Moon through the branches, Moon Lace discribes these imgages perfectly, these are gorgeous and very pretty. But the way you have caught the Moon between the branch and main trunk of tree is fantastic, you are fast becoming an expert with these night shots. Thanks Jane for sharing all these beautiful latest pics and great photography, also for checking out my latest creations and making your very kind comments, in which I value greatly. Nice to hear it was uplifting and put springtime in your thoughts. Don't forget whilst on Jury Service if it's Photographer on trial- Not Guilty.LOL:-))))).Hows the weather over there, have you still got snow? BIG HUGS FOR YOU. Elaine.OOOOO0

Jane, your shots of the steam clouds is great! You really have an eye for seeing a picture! Also the moon thru the trees is interesting. When I looked at Moonstruck, I saw a bird until I enlarged it! (I also see things in clouds!) Anyway, the whole album is great! And I enjoy your work! Keep clicking! Jenny

Jane..I love your captions and sense of humor. Also, your tips on night photography are all so true, but if you knew how much I hate to use a tripod! LOL Bob is always telling me to use a tripod at the zoo and I just ignore him! :-)) I remembered that you had asked me how I took the photo of the Stingray at the Columbus Zoo in Ohio. Our daughter and family live in Columbus and she took us to the zoo. They have a wonderful, hugh indoor coral reef aquarium and it's dark inside and you have to take photos through the glass with just natural lighting from the ceiling in the aquarium. Bob kept telling me that I was wasting my time and all my pics would be blurred, but I kept shooting. This wonderful stingray came right up to the glass and I managed to get his photo without too much reflection from other people's reflections in the glass. I must have taken 30 or more digital shots in that one place and that was the only shot that came out, but I think that Stingray was posing for me. :-)) I'm one of these people who talk to the animals at the zoo and they respond to my voice and usually turn and give me a look, as well as anyone else around there. I'm surprised that the workers at the zoo haven't put me in a cage! Thanks again for the gracious comments and keep those albums coming this way. I love them all. Sharon

Looks like you are a natural. Night photography is alot of fun! Just keep practicing and experiencing different exposure times, like Ken said. I really enjoyed your Merry Christmas photos and Full Moon Photos. I especially liked the Spy photo. It was a bit ironic. :) Thanks again for sharing. Keep shooting! - Mandi

jane..I agree with what Elaine has to say about your "nightime&qu ot; photograpy...The more film you shoot..the better you'll get with time exposers..same concept with Sunrise/Sunset photpgraphy...always use the tripod & let your camera do the work.. "Just set it & Forget it"..Study your camera manual & learn everything your camera can do..Will look for more of your awesome photos in your new albums...Thanks for sharing & God Bless from Texas...Ken

What sensable solid advise about what you have learned so far Jane.:-)) Thats why you are doing great job at taking your pics. These are great night shot pics, and I see you could not wait to get started in the photo taken from the car. The Merry christmas ones are my favorites with all the beatuiful lights. You have such a great character and you are a beautiful person so full of humour. The album is great with lots of info on what was going on at the time you were taking your pics, which only adds to the enjoyment. I enjoyed viewing your Night Shots album Jane. Its a Great job. Thanks for your very nice comment in my guestbook I also send you a Big Hug.My Kindest Regards.Elaine.
