My favorite album, Jorge. So glad you were employed by the news media to cover the Pope's visit to Cuba. I know you enjoyed it and they did too with your help. The photos were magnificent and thanks for allowing us the opportunity to download some of them. Glad your grandmother is doing so well. I bet she keeps you and your family hopping:) As for my knees, they are coming along pretty well. I can walk without pain, and the bending of them is getting better but still not where I want to be. Sitting, for some reason, bothers the backs of my legs and knees more than anything else I do. I can sleep better at night, but still wake up too many times during the night to get a good restful sleep. But, although slow, it is getting better. So happy to see you and your family doing so well my friend. Keep taking and posting those photos. All the best to you. your friend, Wayne.

I really admire people who can get great shots of hummingbirds. I haven't been very successful at attracting them to a feeder. Maybe I am not patient enough. I see a very few. Great album and thanks for your kind comments on my photos.

Just took another look at this album jj and I would like to tell you again how much I enjoyed this album. They are outstanding shots especially with the background flowers (hibiscus) which are just as beautiful. It must be really tough to take these shots. I usually just get mesmerized when I see a hummingbird afraid to move because I don't want to drive them away.

If only we could be like these Magnificent Little Fellows...Not a worry in the world...just hover and choose which direction to go, and the view to see..I always thought they had it right...and when a child, I used to wonder what they thought..lol!! You know Jorge, I thought that animals like cows, moo-ed but thought in English...and the same for all animals!! Then today they try to tell us that this is what animals see and think etc. and I think...I mean..how would they know..they have never been a dog, or a cat or any other animal!! We can only assume, and I guess that olde saying rings true about assume, just never do it, as broken down, it makes an '#####' out of 'u' and 'me' too!! Isn't that a goodie.. Many years ago I learnt about inner strength, and it doesn't matter what is happening around you, you just can never lose sight of the picture that you have planted firmly in you mind in front of you...regardless of what is around!! I think that being a photographer you understand that one. Do take care and all our Spirits and Hearts are with you guys over there...Stay strong, hold the picture unwavering, and we shall all see you soon...Lots of Love to all, and Biggest Aussie Hugs Em.

Had a look, 'cause hummers are one of my favorite bird species. Did u know that the world has over 14000 Lighthouses left and that the Trochildae Hummingbird family has between 319 and 333 species? L.O.L - but facts are facts and I have just quoted two of 'em!! Cheers!

Hi Jorge, this is an absolutely superb album, I thoroughly enjoyed viewing these beautiful photos. You captured these birds beautifully, and what a feat. If I remember correct from an assignment I did back in my school days, hummingbirds beat their wings around 70 times per second. They would not be one of the easiest birds to capture but you've done a great job here. Very well done and again congratulations. This is a delightful collection, and they are not the "usual" hummingbird photos. You've captured them in many aspects. One has a long neck, another has ruffled feathers, some in profile, one with its shadow on the leaf below more distinct than the bird itself. Did you find these in a park or in your garden?
