  • Dear Jacques! One cannot but feel an overload of visual senses when encountering such beauty. Bavarian alps is a dreamland of vast vistas of pastoral expanses, towering mountains, picturesque towns and carefully crafted churches full of embellishments. I have soaked in this beauty for two years when I was in Bavaria in 1960/61. Your pictures are the best I have seen of this region which is so dear to me. I am happy to see that you were able to photograph the inside of Linderhof and Herrn Chiemsee castle. They have stopped allowing photography now. I am amazed at the beauty you have captured, The whole album reminded me of Beethoves's 6th symphony, 'Pastoral'. Excellent album. Thanks for remembering me and for the dedication. Suresh
