  • I have been going to carry falls and camping on Maple Island for about 11 years now. The area is not developed at all. I recommend going early to midweeek as the weekends have been getting more and more busy with boaters and camper the past 4-5 years. Maple island will be an island through Mid to end of july early august they start dropping the water level fairly quickly and it will be attached to the main land. For the record we are a group who also picks up after others and leaves the site better than when we first got there. The site is used all year round by campers, four wheelers, and snowmobiles in the winter, it is a popular spot.

  • Greetings. I liked your little "blog" about your trip, and the pictures aren't bad. I do an Adirondack trip or two every year, usually in the fall after the tourists leave. I haven't done Carry Falls Rev. How built up is it? I try to avoid civilization as much as possible once I'm out there. Tim W. Cooperstown,NY
