Hello, Due toe the work of my father,I lived in Lisbon and Rinchoa (near Sintra) from 1956 until december 1960.When we left Portugal in 1960 I was 10 years of age. In 1978 I came back to Portugal for a short stay of 5 days.I visited the places where I lived and which we visited when we lived in Portugal.I made a photograph of a house on the corner of the Praça da Republica. Message two When I lived in Rinchoa I had a room with a vieuw at the Serra da Sintra and I also saw the Pena Palace every morning.Also I remember the Feira das Merçes where I enjoyed the attraction of "Posso do Morto" whit motorcycle- and cardrivers driving their vehicles in a round tower. Since 1978 I was not able to go back to Portugal. I miss the Pasteis de Bacalhao, the Farturas, Caldeirada,Fofos,Caracois and much more. What happened to my friends Joao Gordo, Seizinho (son of dona Csimira),Tony,Carlito and our housekeepers Clarisse,Laurinda,Milla ? I'll hope to come one day back to Rinchoa / Rio do Mouro. I was brought up in a little town called Algueirao-Velho. Came to the U.S.A. in 1973 with my Parents And I will never forget my (Castelo Da Pena) everyday I would wake up to this Wonderful Wonder... I not realize that this was defenatly one the Seven Wonder's of the World. Sometimes beauty is all around you, but you wont see it, until it is not there anymore! Thank you so much... for you're Majestic picture of my (Querida Sintra)Only if you lived there, would you understand this... I will never forget my memories of my little town of (Algueirao) overlooking the Castle's of the (Mouros)& (Castelo Da Pena) in (Sintra-Portugal). I loved the U.S.A. like no other person!!!! But Sintra will allway be in my Heart & Mind... Ate a proxima...
