Batanes, my ultimate dream destination in the Philippines but failed to visit it before i left for the US last year huhuhu ...and my friends went there last holy week break without me! :-( nice pictures mlbd01. wish i could still go there when i go on vacation.

hello mlbd01, I'm helping my barrio, Maisog, develop itself into a Model Township. Our current project is a chapel. Since two rivers run along our perimeters, and therefore riverstones abound as construction material, i searched the internet for "building with Stones" and got nowhere until I hit Batanes Stone Houses. Thank you for your pictures!!! I would like to ask permission to print some of the pictures to show the barriofolks of Maisog, San Lorenzo Ruiz, Camarines Norte, Philippines on the possibilities of working with stones, instead of cutting trees to build our chapel, and maybe the entire village after.
