    • Ok a few more questions for anyone to answer. Berwick Elementary- I want to say that there was another school or libary about a block from the police station under the bridge. I think it might have been a school before my time. Anyone else remembers a man that use to pass out fruit from time to time at the police station. After school. I am 41 so my memory is still good. lol I know I'm not making this stuff up. Does anyone still lives in Berwick and if so. Do they still have fields day? I also heard through the web site that they have the kids where uniforms. Times have changed. I remember having 50 cents and stopping by (Nina's Store) I could be wrong on the name. And reading comics and getting a juice and cookie. Thanks for the info

    • Thank you Oldberwickgirl. That question has bugged me for so long. Every time I come to this site it makes me happy and sad. I miss Louisiana and Berwick. I have a 6 and 7 year old and I find myself wishing they would had the chance to live the memories that I had the pleasure to. Granted they have their own. But there is no place like Berwick.

    • This information is for Steve Ramos in answer to his question regarding the old store in Berwick on 3rd. St. A Mr. Pupura had a small grocery store there for many years. Mr. Pupura was related to the Baby Guzzetta family.

    • This town............Is home for me.Everyone has one and has stories but I can sit here and honestly say if there was truely one place I could live and raise my children would be this town.Everything about this town is perfect in my eyes. But I do have a question for anyone to answer. There was this store right across the street from the part next to the tracks. The building even back then as early as I can remember back in 75 was shut down. The outer walls look like tin.I never knew the name of that building.I think it was some type of store at some point. My email is steven.ramos@mchsi.com
