Wonderful photos of the Parke county bridges in Indiana. The real time to visit the 40 plus bridges in Clay, Putnam and Parke County is the last week in September when the leaves are changing and before the half million people come for the bridge festival. Great photos! Thanks for sharing~ Sam

I love covered bridges. Unfortunately, in California I have only found two. Great photos.

I have been to the covered bridge festival two times and I saw more of the bridges in your albums than then due to traffic and so many people.. Bridgeton was my favorite with the falls. I hope Mandy didn't eat any of those Osage oranges. The bridge in our town was open to foot traffic when I was a kid and it just this summer was reopened after having been gated off for many years.

My favorite in this wonderful album would hands down be "Side View". But the whole album is delightfful, and what a great day it must have been chasing these bridges down.

Ranae, Thanks for the comments in my guestbook. I'm so glad you got to enjoy the festival in Parke County. My husband and I live in St. Charles, Missouri, and travel to Ohio frequently to visit our daughter and family. We stopped in Putnam County on the way back to MO one day last summer and saw a few of the bridges. It was fun, but we ran out of time and didn't get to many in Parke County. I wanted to get back there this fall, but now we're out of time again since we went to New England for two weeks. You have a very lovely album and thanks for sharing your photos. Sharon

Another super album Ranae, These are great pics of Covered Bridges, reminds me of the ones they showed in the old movies. They had a rumbling noise of their own when crossed in a motor vehicle. Lovely Album. My Kindest Regards./Elaine.

Hi Ranae, lovely album on covered bridges,I never knew they existed till I joined Webshots,we have nothing like them over here. A good time to shoot these bridges with the Autumn colours in most of the shots,a very nice album, Best wishes, Rod.
