Album Description:

Some photos taken of kangaroos on trips to the country. All are living in the wild, as they should. Not all my shots are perfect, for which I apologize in advance, but I hope you will enjoy them nonetheless. This album was revised and updated October 6

Looks like the kangaroos there are like deer here in the USA. I would love to be able to capture some kangaroo pics. All your albums are really great! Super Job! We drive carefully but sometimes cannot stop in time and many deer are killed each year by vehicles. What a shame - I suppose the same happens to your kangaroos. Jay and I stood and watched the struggle for about ten minutes while the joey turned around and then it was head and one front leg out instead. Wish I'd taken the camera with me today. They truely are funny to watch. Hugs for Chris and Jay NSW

Many thanks for the GB entry in my Fabulous Beaches album - I didn't know anything about it until Ken pointed it out to me whilst we were chatting on MSN so it was a pleasant surprise. Hope the new job is still going well - you are certainly seeing a lot of new places in your travels around the state (I assume it is just NSW you work?) • A very lovely album Keith. I love nrs. 8 and 11 and the series (16-26). And maybe not all the pictures are sharp, but the movement you see in them, especially in On the Road has its own beauty. I like that one!! We have some kangaroos living in the wild too in one of our northern provinces, but they are escaped ones. Now and then some car driver has a meeting with them, but most of the time it doesn’t end very well for the kangaroo. Thanks for your visit to the Raindrop Fascination album and your explanation of the echidnas. It is fascinating to learn about this animal this way. It is unknown to us. I have also been away from home for several visits to my parents during the last weeks. Therefore I am a bit late answering my gb entries. I also want to thank you for your support during this year, and I wish you and your family a very Merry Christmas. Friendly greetings, Els (wely246/evanwely)

It's very funny to see this one across the road and jumping over the fence... Thanks for your comments. Sure it's cold in Quebec City for pictures in winter but our winter is so long...I can't wait for warmer weather =) Don't be afraid, the birds of Australia of the Zoo of Quebec are very well. While so many times I left my comments under your beautiful albums then my comments never appeared...I do not know why? I ask webshots for an explanation as to why the majority of my comments I left in your guest books as well as the guest books of my webshots friends never appeared. • Nicely done Keith. I enjoy taking pics of our roos too but have never managed such a great action series as you got there. You can't have any shutter lag on your new camera, that's for sure. I find early morning is a good time to get them as they are usually pretty dopey and too busy with breakfast to bother with mere humans - but it never ceases to puzzle me how they almost always seem to be able to position themselves BETWEEN me and the sun! Murphy's Law I guess. Cheers, Peter

    • Hi Keith, Your pics of the kangaroo and little joey crossing the road are wonderful. I enjoyed them immensely, and the quality was great, under the circumstances. Who cares anyway??????????? What a fun album. Since we will never see a kangaroo in the wild in the USA, this is a joy to see the mob. I had to laugh, because here, a mob can also mean a very large group of organzized crime individuals. Don't think your roos are in that column. Lots of fun here. Warm regards, my friend, and thanks for your kind words in my featured album. I really appreciate that. When my newfound asthma settles down, I'll write. Hugs to you, my friend. Sharon
