Your photos are excellent Love them!! we were in Alaska in 2002 have over 1000 photo. So many of mine are flowers as I am a gardener and was in awe of the blooms Would go back in a blink of an eye but feel lucky to have gotten there in the first place.

I traveled to Alaska on a Cruise in May 2004 and it was absolutely beautiful. The weather was great for the time of year, it was sunny and in the low 70s! I too, like to take a lot of pictures and experiment with a lot of things. I only had a 3.2 MP camera at the time, now I have a Canon Powershot G6 digital camera. It is 7.2 MP and is an AWESOME camera. I wish I could go back to get better pictures. Sadly, when we cruised college fjord it was foggy and drizzly, it was the only bad weather of the entire trip. You photos capture some of what I missed, and you take excellent shots. Keep up the good work.

These pictures are wonderful. I have lived in Alaska over 30 years. My husband is a ole sourdough. So once a sourdough always a sourdough. So nnow being over 70 years we stay outside for 5 months or less (weather depends when we leave and return home)and spend winters down in Arizona. So these pictures are reminders of home. Andy, congradulations on such beautiful pics. I had the privilege to have been stationed at Elmendorf A.F.B. back in the early sixties and just viewing your album brought me back to the reality of Nature's beauty and the purity of this land. I spent every hour off duty out in the wilds enjoying the freshness of the land. I wish I could have stayed up there when my tour of duty was over, but my family needed me very bad about that time. Can you relate to this? Mt. McKinley Denali's Spirit A silent wind rolls over white rivers, piercing to my cheek. A mighty fortress, God's scabrous altar, my reverence dares to speak. Blueberry and alpine carpet beneath the icy wall. Staring at its vastness, I feel important, yet so small. An Artic fox in gray winds around a sinuous trail. I listen beyond the trees past the Ptarmigan's sweet hail. Lushness caresses the tundra, I melt into the scene. Above me a blush pales the blue, fading into violet cream.
