THANKS! Viewing "my" Alps with your eyes is a PLEASURE for me and remember the beautiful moments that we spent all together is a wonderful remind that I will have in my mind for all my life..... Shots are a BEAUTY (but I have them in their original form so I can enjoy all in a perfect way) and landscapes are fantastic (tehy are "my" ALPS so it's normal :-D ). What can I say..... Orly, lovely pictures of the Monte Rosa mastiffs. The varying colours create varying moods. The slopes, the cabins, the snow covered peaks, the clouds, the different colours of the terrain, all go to make a breathtaking trek. With Ruggero as a guide, I guess you cannot go wrong. Dearest Orly, these are magnificent shots! You had much better weather than when I hiked with Ruggero though ;-) But you got such great colors and contrasts even with snow in the photos, which is so hard to meter. Your composition is very good and the clarity is amazing. It's funny how the stone houses seem to just blend right in with the mountain at times, and at other times they stand right out. Really great work and a documentary of what must have been the trip of a lifetime. I'm looking forward to the next chapters :- ) Ti abbraccio fortamente! Beth

Hi, Orly - Thank you for responding to my message. I like the shot of you with the fungi (great expression and getting down on the ground to take a shot is so typical of what you have to do when you want the right angle). My Canon Powershot S2 IS zoom isn't as terrific as I'd hoped (gets blurry if you go to far and with a small screen sometimes can't tell til you get it on the computer). Can use the zoom button while in display to check it but only does a small piece at a time. Macro is pretty good. I'm hoping to eventually get one with a bigger screen as you can see right away if in focu properly. Plus I would like to get one that has everything in focus rather than just parts of the shot. Probably one with interchangeable lens so I can get a better focal length. Or perhaps I should play around more with the one I have & see if I can find the right manual settings for my zoom and macro pics and set a custom setting for them. P.S. Like the house beside the big rock photo in this album also.
