  • Hello Ludvik, Thanks for your guestbook entry in Flowers My Garden, and for the explanation. We also had a lot of rain from the 2nd week of July till the 2nd half of August. But the latter half of August, actually up till now whe did have beautiful weather. Of which we profited during a short vacation in the country from Oct. 7- 14, and it is the reason why I did not answer you sooner. Yes, I still keep both gardens, and I can take time for it now, thanks to early retirement. Sometimes it is hard work, especially when all things come at the same time, but I like to do it. Especially as you grow maize(corn) and can give it to our rats who absolute are crazy about it. Lovely to see. Have a nice weekend. Your friend from Holland, Els

  • Hello Ludvik, wow, these mountain pictures are really beautiful, so clear and bright! Your forests have already a nice autumn colour, and I love the pictures of the mountain huts (34, 37, 38). Nrs. 67, 70 and 72 are also gorgeous, you must have been at how many feet/km high up in the mountains? Lovely picture of the crow (85) too, as are Nrs. 5, 11, 20 and the beautiful mountain sunrise in photonr. 62. Thanks for sharing Ludvik, I had a great time viewing them. In which part of the Julian Alps you took these pictures?. Because I understand there is a Western part which is also the boundary between Carinthia, Austria and Slovenia and there is an Eastern part. Why am I so curious? Maybe I told you once that we had many vacations in Carinthia, Lake of Ossiach (1970-1985). And from that point you had also a view at some mountain peaks of the Julian Alps. Thanks also for your nice reaction on my spider album. I am always very glad to hear from you, and I do value your opinion a lot. Best wishe, your friend from Holland, Els (wely246/evanwely)

  • Hello Ludvik, a superb set of scenery photos. My immediate thought was that some of them reminded me of the Dolomites in Italy. The comment below leads me to think yours may be not far away from the Dolomites? I Like the old buildings on the mountain side & of course the trees. I have plenty of old buildings on my new name ericy202. Eric

  • Hi, Ludvik, what an impressive and rough country the Julian Alps are. I saw them last week from the other side of the border, where the country is called Friuli Venezia Giulia, to visit the village where my father was born, Fanna in the province of Pordenone (which is, by the way, in Veneto) You made beatiful pictures of it, are they all recent? Have a nice weekend!
