• Hi Thelma, I'm glad the Tanna photos warmed up your winter. No tour, we just went and enjoyed the place. Maybe a bit like PNG, at least it is as far as the malaria goes - which I got about 10 days after we got back. How's Don? Steve

 • Hi, you have several great albums of very exotic places. I envy you! The yearly round trip to Tasmania must be taxing. I now "know" two people born in Tasmania: you and the late great actor Errol Flynn. Coincidentally, one of my Webshots friend (gladysclancy), an Australian, is at this very moment visiting Tasmania. Greetings from Florida, Paul. P.S. Thank you for your kind words on my Florida birds album. The Reddish Egret is one of four egrets we have here in Florida and the pictures in all of my Florida birds albums are all of wild birds photographed in Florida within 500m of my car and represent less than 25% of those present in here during the winter months. During the summer months, however, most of these same birds head north along with our American and Canadian seasonal residents. As abundant and easy to photograph as the birds are during the winter, that’s how scarce and difficult they become during the summer months. In the natural areas, the heat, humidity and insects make that adventure anything but easy or pleasurable.

 • Thank you for your pictures from Papua New Guinea. We spent five years in that colorful land coming back to the States in 1986. Your pictures brought back many memories. John Murphree

Just wanted to let you know that I have a new album about the ruins of Hampi which, in the 16th century, was the capital of the powerful and famous Vijayanagar empire. Take a look. • Thelma, These PNG pic are the best! I lived there in 1982-84 and again in bougainville 87-88 a total of 3 years. I am sharing some thoughts and insights on the SW Pacific in March'04 for the local Community College. Do you mind if I refer people to your collection? I would like to use a pic or two if I may? Thanks, Paul

 • Hi Thelma! Thank you for leaving a nice comment in my album. Yes, I used to live one block away from the Mormon Temple in Albuquerque, New Mexico. I was just starting to get creative with photography at that time (3 years ago), nd got lucky with a flaming sunset. Your Papua New Guinea is a spectacular album. Where are you from? One of these days I will travel to Australia, especially that I have enough mileage for a free ticket now, and may be take a swing at Papua New Guinea. Once again, Thank you for the compliment on my album. Have a nice day.

 • Hi Thelma, Thank you for signing my guestbook! And I wish already a good trip to Malaysia. The main way to get to Taman Negara is to take a train / bus to Jerantut from the central busstation in KL. From Jerantut you have to get a bus or taxi (taxi is very cheap) to Kuala Tembeling. From there you can get a boat (nice rivertrip from 3 hours). But you can also go by taxi to Kampung Kuala Tahan (same price but only 1 hour)

 • Hi Thelma, very enjoyable, I don't think I would like to meet one of those guys in a dark place, My Nephew worked over there untill they attacked him, & only for the guard dog he would be dead. Although it looks very colourful. Did you enjoy your visit there? I will answer your other note tomorrow. Jeanie.
