    • Hi Claudia. What a beautiful location, so peaceful and serene. Thanks for the virtual tour whilst enjoying my morning cup of tea. So enjoyed your photos. I've also called to thank you for the kind note you left me in my Whitby feature. Features are always an honour, but it's those that take the time to comment that make the day extra special. I appreciated your visit. Well, we're leaving for the USA in a couple of days, visiting Nevada and Wyoming. Meeting up with Loree (greenhorngrl). I am so looking forward to our photo shooting together and the many opportunities there will be for capturing your amazing country. Take care and enjoy the summer. We'll be back towards the end of august. Much love, Jayne/West Midlands, UK :) xx

    • Hi Claudia and I just HAD to choose this album to come and thank you for writing in the GB of my new Southern Ocean album. But I tell you, some of those photos were OLD!! One or two dated back almost 30 years as slides and one of them was even taken with one of those throw away cameras on a day when I had not bothered to take my own camera because it was wet and windy - and then of course the sun decided to shine!! Great to hear from you and thanks once again, Hugs Peter

    • Hello Claudia and I can't think why I have never signed the guest book for this album before. What a great and interesting visit you had and it was good to get a different perspective with your views from the boat. That looked a pretty long snake, certainly not like any that we have out here. I appreciate that you wouldn't have waited to find out, but was it venomous? You certainly captured all the moods of the lake very well and have proved the point that you don't always need sunshine to make a great photo. A most enjoyable trip - goodonya. Hugs, Peter

    • Hi Claudia, I know that I have seen most of this but it was a joy to have a look at it again, and this time I have found some more gems, 66 monet, you could be right, it does look like a Monet, and #69, if you planted a ssed there and wanted it to grow it would be impossible, but nature always finds away, as Jeanie below says, a gorgeous place, and one that I shall always remember thats for sure in my very small time spent in those mountains, take care my friend, hugs and Kayaks, Ken PS glad you like the ghost.

    • Hi Claudia! I have to say...so, so beautiful!! I love the mix in this album of macros and foggy forest and maybe it's because we don't really have any conifer forests here but I'm a big sucker for those misty pines right down to the lake edge - looks absolutely gorgeous! What a brilliant getaway place :) Thanks for your kind comments and I will be making my way through your marvelous site too! Hugs, Kate

As many times as I have been in the Adirondacks (and trust me, that's plenty) I have never seen a snake! You sure got lucky, great shot too! Too bad the weather wasn't a little more cooperative...but, you still got great shots! Never been to Pyramid Lake, gonna have to put that on my "places to go" list. Thanks for your kind comments in my guestbook, it's really appreciated! • Hi Claudia, I have been to that wonderful p[art of New York State, infact I think there is aphoto of Lake Placid in one of my albums, so I know what abeautiful and serene place the Adirondack Mountains are. #11 could be Scotland, #14 the cascading waterfall and #27 says it all peace of the wilderness, marvellous. and see butterfly's are easy the difficult part is putting a name to the less obvious ones, even the rain could not detract from the beauty of the place. I thoroughly enjoyed my voyage through th album thanks for sharing it with us and good Luck Ken
