In 1900 there were 23,000 French-Canadians, who made up 40% of the Manchester, NH population. Local transportation, amusement areas, historic buildings, bridges and landmarks that our French-Canadian ancestors enjoyed.

  • Had a neighbor try to tell me that there never was a span bridge that went from Bridge St to West side. The proof is in your pictures, The Notre Dame Bridge. Just need to find out the year they tore it down to replace it with what we have today. Also thank you for keeping franco-american history alive it is so important to this community and most newcomers don't even realize it. Most of Manchester is turning spanish so the french is slowly being lost.
